Pairwork. Groupwork . guessing gameV. Teaching aidsa projector, computer.VI. Teaching proceduresStep 1 Listen and sing a song “Can you sing ?” Step 2 Warm-up and play a game “Me,too.”/Me either. I will talk about my situations ,if the students think his /her situations are the same as mine .They will stand up and say “Me,too ”or Me either. Step3 Talk freely Ask students “Do you like summer vacation?”then lead ss to talk about things that they can do on the summer vacation.Step 4 Revision1.Show some phrases about ability with pictures ,For example: sing ,swim, dance, draw ,play chess, speak English,play the guitar. and so on. Next I lead students to read the phrases .Then ask Ss “Can you sing /play the guitar ? and help Ss anwer “Yes I can /I cant”.Then let Ss ask and anwer one by one .2.Let Ss say the clubs that they know quickly .Then show the phrases about clubs. Then ask Ss “What club do you want to join ? and help Ss anwer “I want to join the ”.Then let Ss ask and answer one by one .Step 4 PracticeShow some pictures on the screen , ask students to practice in groups like this :1.Sa:Can you ? Sb: Yes, I can / .No ,I cant Sc:Can she /he ? Sc:Yes, she/he can .No ,she/he cant 2. What club do you want to join ? I want to join What club does she/he want to join? She/He wants to jion Step5: Play a guessing gameThis activity provides the oral pracice using target language .Cover a part of each picture.Then let Ss guess what she/he can do with “Can she/he ?Step6: Do 3bAsk Ss to open the books and do 3b by themseves,After a while ,check the answers .Step7 Play a reading gameA reads the passage, B listens . If A is wrong, B says : Stop the bus! Then help him /her.Step8 Lets have an advertisement meeting for the clubsThis activity helps Ss to talk about their own posters with target languages.First ,T makes an example for Ss like this: T says : “I am in the music club.Do you like music ?lets enjoy the music. I want five Ss for the music club. ” Then ask Ss “Do you want to join ?.Next call 5 students to come to the front ,ask them one by one “Can you ? Are you good at ? Finally ,let Ss wok in groups.Step9:3b Ss do 3b by themselves.then check the answers in pairs.Step 10 Exercises (1)Change the sentences.(2).Ask ss to fill in the blanks Step 11Survey and report First ,Survey 2 students to make an example .then Ss survey in groups .After that ,groups perform.
