Yes, there is. It is on the right/left. Turn right/left at thecrossing. 2 掌握不同的交通标志及其用英语进行表达。 3 能理解文章大意并完成阅读任务。通过三个同学对自己住处的描述,培养学生爱自己的社区。教学内容: 1 继续学习,运用there be句型进行问路,指路,运用介词短语表达位置。 2 做听力练习,熟练地进行问路和指路的话题,阅读中学习,运用本单元词汇和句型,表示“直行,转弯”和“道谢”。 3 读懂文章,完成阅读任务。教学重难点: 1 运用go along, turn right/ left等短语回答他人问路。并能够运用介词短语清楚地说明位置。 2 能够读懂别人叙述的路线,并运用短文中指路词汇和句型完整描述小区的环境设施。教学准备:设计教学PPT,多媒体,相应的插图。教学过程:Step I . Learning aims: 1 记忆短语:go along, turn right, turn left, on the right, look like, walk along, go down 句型:Is there a ? Yes, there is. It is on the right/left. Turn right/left at thecrossing. 2 掌握不同的交通标志及其用英语进行表达。 3 能理解文章大意并完成阅读任务。通过三个同学对自己住处的描述,培养学生爱自己的社区。Step II . Review and lead in 1 The words and expressions. 2 Show some pictures and ask some questions . T: Is there a post office near here? S: (设计意图)根据图片引导学生运用目标语言复习所学的对话,有利于锻炼学生的思维能力。Step III . Presentation(1a)1 . Show some traffic signs and teach new words and expressions.T: We can often see some traffic signs on the road. (Show the pictures of Section B 1a by PPT.) What does this sign mean?2 . Work on 1aT: Match the words in the box with the signs.Check the answers.(设计意图)通过图片教授生词,可以使枯燥,抽象的单词通过形象直观的图示变得易学易记。Step IV. Listening (1b and 1c)1. Work on 1bT: Look at the picture in 1b. How many streets are there in the map?Ss: T: What are they?Ss: They are T: Two people are asking for and giving directions. Where are they? Can you find them in the map?Ss: T: I want to go to the park. Make a conversation.Give some situations and ask the students to make a conversation.2. T: Ok. Listen to the tape and write the correct place for each letter in the picture. Play the recording. Students listen and find the names of the places for the letters. Check the answers.3. Work on 1c T: Ok. Now look at the conversation in 1c. Can you predict the missing information in the conversation according to the map in 1b? Give students some time to predict the missing information. T: Let us listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. Play the recorder. Play it again if necessary. T: Read the conversation together after the tape. Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.(设计意图) 听前看图编对话,降低听力难度;教会学生听前预测的策略。Step V. Pair work (Work on 1d) T: Look at the map. Imagine you and your partner are the two people in the picture. Ask and answer questions about the places. Give an example: A: Excuse me, is there a supermarket near here? B: Yes , there is. Go along the street and turn left. Then Give students time to practice the conversation. Ask some pairs to act it out. (设计意图) 两人一组结合听力材料编对话,这种半控制性的语言输出活动有助于学生巩固运用本节语言知识,结合地图运用目标语言进行交际是拓展性英语输出活动,提升学生的语言运用能力。Step VI. Reading ( 2b and 2c )1. Before reading T: Before reading, please look at the three maps together. Notice which places there are in the map. What is the name of the street? Give students one minute to watch the maps.T: Now please scan the passage and match the passages with the maps. You can only read the first two sentences and the last sentence. Do not read the whole passage. Check the answers.2. While readingT: Now please read the passage carefully and answer the questions.(1) What does Anna like doing in the zoo?(2) Does Anna think monkeys are like people? Why?(3) What does John like to do at the park?(4) John thinks the best things do not need monkey. Do you think so, too?(5) How does Lisa get to the library from her home? (设计意图) 读前看图,激活学生背景知识,读中设计问题,帮助学生理解文章内容,同时培养学生的阅读策略和技能,读后活动让学生结合阅读材料进行拓展性语言训练和运用。Step VII. Summary and assignment (设计意图) 带领学生总结本课时的语言结构,让学生及时汇总并记忆,使学生养成善于总结记忆的习惯。Step VIII. Homework1. Make conversation to describe your neighborhood.2.
