Hows the weather today?Stage 2 读前活动(20 min)Step 1: 引入T: How old are you? When is your birthday? (ask 2-3 students)T: Do they have the same answers? They have different answers. We can also say, “Different people have different answers.”Ss: (repeat one by one)Step 2: 单词/短语/句型练习T: Today well talk something about birthays. Look at this picture. Whats this? Ss: a birthday cake.T: What are these?Ss: candles.T: This is a birthday cake with candles.Ss: a birthday cake with candles(repeat one by one)T: Look at this girl. This is her birthday cake. How old is she? Can you tell me? Why?Ss: There are 6 candles.T: Good. Because the number of candles is the persons age.Ss: The number of candles is the persons age. (repeat one by one)简单的打招呼后,通过询问几个同学的年龄,生日过渡到生日的话题,引出不同的人生日不一样,答案也不一样,过渡到文章中的句子中。再结合生动的生日图片,逐步突破文章中的重要的生词,短语,句子,让学生能在一个个图片的帮助下理解其中的含义,并通过学生的重复,加深学生对单词,短语和句子的印象,同时也锻炼了学生的口语能力。在学生对文章中重要的单词,短语,句子都有了理解过后,学生就能迅速的进入文章,减少学生的阅读障碍,进行阅读技能的训练。Stage 3 读中活动(17 min)Task 1. Prediction: T: Look at the picture and title. What is the girl doing? What is the passage about? Tell me why. A. Its about a birthday party.B. Different countries eat different birthday foods.C. People have birthday cakes with candles.Ss: (B)T: Good.Task 2: Scanning.T: Read the passage quickly and find 4 foods and 2 countries.Ss: Four foods: birthday cakes; noodles; eggs; candies; Two countries: China, the UK;T: Great.Task 3: ScanningT: Read again and match the main ideas with each paragraph. The child _ the candy is lucky.Ss: (group show)由于前面大量的对学生进行了词汇,短语,句型的铺垫,阅读难度稍降。阅读环节设计几个学习任务帮助学生加深对文章的理解。问题的设置由整体大意到局部细节逐步递进,学生在反复的阅读中理解了文章。学生在完成任务中,既训练了快速阅读寻找大意的能力,还训练了仔细阅读寻找细节的能力。学生在学习中,既有独立思考,也有同伴合作,小组合作,培养了学生的沟通合作能力。读后,通过复述文章的任务,再次加深学生对文章的理解,同时也让学生学以致用,把新学的短语,单词加以运用。Stage 5 作业 (1 mins)T: Read the passage carefully and do some exercises.Stage 6 反思:优点
