Unit 7 Would you mind turning down the music?Section A(1a2b)城关二中 余春花一、教材内容分析本课是新目标八年级下册第七单元的第一课时。,通过向他人提出抱怨和礼貌请求以及做出回答来练习would you mind (not )doing? Not at all. 这一语言结构,让学生学会使用恰当的语言与他人交往. 在学习中通过与他人对话,合作探究,学会合作,学会交往,学会做人. 二、教学目标(知识与能力,情感态度与价值观)1.Knowledge aims(1)Key vocabulary not at all turn down yard right away(2)Key structures:-Would you mind cleaning your room?-No, not at all. Ill do it right away ._Would you mind not playing baseball here ?2.Ability objective1).Learn to make requests in polite ways2) Know how to answer politely:3). To train students ability of listening and speaking.3.Moral objective1)How to give suggestions when they have impolite behavior.2)Solve problems politely in their lives.三、重点、难点重点:1).To be able to use the target language2).Make conversations using the target language难点:1)Understand two sentences: Would you mind ?Would you mind not ?2)How to answer correctly.四、教法与学法指导1.Task-based teaching method .situational teaching method. Pairwork.game teaching approach.五、教学过程Step1 Lead in( 5mins)Say Our classroom is dirty. I want a student to sweep it. What can I say? Have student give some answers and write them on the blackboard:Could you please ? Will you please ? Why dont you do ?Why not do ?Would you mind sweeping the floor? Explain that the last example is a very polite way of making a request.(设计意图:通过复习以前学的知识导入新课。)Step 2 Presentation(10 mins)1 .Show a picture and ask some students to read the conversation below it .A:Would you mind sweeping the floor?B:Im sorry.Ill do it right away.2. Show some more pictures and ask students to practice the target language.“Would you mind doing something ?3. Show some pictures and practice “Would you ming (not) doing something ?”4. Explain: “Would you mind (not) doing something?”的用法。(设计意图:通过反复练习,让学生理解并掌握本课的内容。)5. Ask students to do some exercises.(设计意图:加深巩固)Step 3 1a (2mins)1. Point to the four requests in the box. Read each phrase to the class and get students to repeat it. Ask students to explain what each one means. They can use actions and simple explanations. 2. Ask students to write the letter of each request in the correct place in the picture.3. Check the answers.(设计意图:利用图片出示句型)Step 4 Listening 1b (3mins)1. Point to the list of requests in activity 1a. Ask different students to look at the list and read eachone to the class. 2. Listen and write the numbers.3. Check the answers .(设计意图:通过简单的听力训练,掌握Would you mind +doing这一句式)。Step 5 1C (3 mins) 1.Ask two students to read the words in the sample dialogue in activity 1c.2.Ask one or two pairs of students to present their conversations to the class.(设计意图:通过简单的对话,提高学生的口语交际能力)Step 6 2a2b (5mins)1.Listen and write the number of each conversation in front of the correct picture .2.Listen again . Match the requests in activity 2a with the responses below. 3.Check the answers. (设计意图:让学生在听力中掌握本课的目标语言.)Step 7 Writing (5 mins) Write the polite requests and apologize. (设计意图:让学生整理一下思路,用目标语言来完成编写对话。)Step 8 Summary. ( 2mins) Ask the ss to say what they have learnt today.
