Develop students listening and speaking.Teaching procedures:Step . Warming-up and lead in Play a video about pandas. And say like this: Do you like pandas?I like pandas,too.Lets see some cute pandas together. Where can we see more kinds of animals?Follow me and go to the zoo.Step . Presentation1.Show the class a picture of a zoo about animals. And ask them: Whats this in English? Its a panda. (Then lion,tiger , elephant, koala, giraffe,tiger and lion.) Students look at the picture and try to remember the new words of the animals.2. Card games. Show some cards about animals and use the sentences to practice the new words:Why do you like? Because they areStep .Consolidation1.Talk about the animals and ask one student to match the pictures with the words in 1a. 2.Check the answers with the class. Step . Pair work1. Ask the students to imagine “ We are in the zoo, there are many kinds of animals here.” Read the conversation: Lets see the lions first. Why do you want to see them?Because they are interesting. 2. Students make similar conversations with their partners . 3. Students act out their conversations.Step . Listening Work on 1b. 1.Tell students to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a. 2.Play the recording again and check the answers with the class. Step I. Emotion education 1.
