Unit 9 What does he look like?（第一课时）教学设计 贺州市平桂区芳林学校 彭谷娣1、 教材分析本单元是本册的重点单元，起着举足轻重的地位，它的知识点贯穿于整个初中阶段，学习本单元后要求学生能用英语熟练的描述人物的外貌。本课时是本单元的第一课时，即导入课，学习本科时后，要求学生能用所学的语言对人物进行简单的描述。2、 学情分析我所在的学校为乡村中学，学生的英语基础差，底子薄，而我所教的学生成绩更是参差不齐，大多数学生英语起点低，接受能力较弱；缺少良好的学习习惯和强烈的用英语表达的欲望；大多数学生喜欢课堂环节紧凑、有序学习方式，乐于开展合作学习。 三、教学目标1. 能用英语描述人的外貌，包括身高、体重、发型。2.完成课本第49页 1a, 1b, 1c四、重难点：1、重点 1）词汇：hair, curly, straight, tall, medium, height, thin, heavy, build, always 2）句子：-What does he look like? - She is of medium build, and she has long hair. 2、难点 语法：能区别is与has的用法二、教学过程1. 出示课题（板书：Unit 9 What does he look like?）T: Hi, boys and girls. Nice to see you! How are you today?【事先准备好10张图片，分别是四张有关发型（长发，短发，卷发直发），三张有关身高（高个男孩，矮个男孩，中等个头男孩）, 三张有关体形（胖女孩，瘦女孩，中等身材女孩）。】2. 游戏导入T: Before we have a new lesson, lets play a guessing game.
