In this lesson, students will learn how to describe peoples appearance. Its important for students to learn the usage of action verbs “have” and “has”. And they will approach the auxiliary verbs “do” and “does”. It will be helpful to make the students learn the rest of this unit. (二)ANALYSIS OF THE STUDENTS The students have learned English for about one month in junior high school so far. They can understand some words and speak some simple sentences about greetings and school life. They have taken a great interest in English now. They eager to learn more words and sentences to communicate with other people. (三)TEACHING AIMS AND DEMANDS 1. Language goals(1) Learn some new words about the names of the parts of the body and some adjectives(2) Learn the usage of “have” and “has”2. Ability goals(1) To develop the Ss abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. (2) To train the Ss ability of working in pairs or in groups (3) To develop the Ss abilities of communication by learning the useful structures. 3. Moral goals(1)To develop the interest of leaning English (2) To cultivate the Ss to enjoy life and appreciate the beauty. (四)TEACHING KEY AND DIFFICULT POINTS 1. Key points: (1). Learn the usage of “have” and “has”(2).To cultivate the Ss to study in groups and cooperate skillfully. 2. Difficult points: How to describe peoples appearances. Students answer these questions together and practice the conversations between boys and girls.2. I think its important and necessary to provide situations to review learned knowledge.Step 2Presentation1.Use the parts of the teachersbody, pictures to teach new words: nose, eye, head, hair, face, mouth, neck 2.Play touching game 3.Draw a picture to teachthe adjectives: small, big, round, wide, short, long4. Point to a girl with long hair and a round face in the class Ask: Do you have long hair? Do you have a round face?Lead to the new words: guess,know, boy, girl and teach them1.
