T: What do you do on your birthday? S1: I eat a big birthday cake. T: So birthday is a special day for you, right? 教师询问多名学生,并将birthday 的单词条张贴在黑板上。 设计意图:教师通过free talk 复习旧知,引出本课话题special day。 Birthday is a special day,为后面理解special的含义做好铺垫。2. T: Birthday is a special day for you. And holidays are special days, too. Now lets enjoy a video about holidays. 学生观看视频,复习有关节日的单词和活动。 T: Look, there are many holidays in a year. They are also special days. 教师出示special的单词卡片,引导学生通过phonics拼读的方法分音节拼出单词,理解单词含义,突破难点,为后面的语言输出扫清障碍。 T:Christmas is a special day for me. Its in December. How about you? Whats your special day? Ok, you can share your ideas in your group. 教师示范,小组交流后请学生仿说 .is a special day for me. Its in. 设计意图:通过视频复习有关节日的单词和活动,小组交流并请学生仿说,培养学生的语言表达能力,也为引出本课主题内容作铺垫。Step3: Presentation1. T: Our friend Zhang Peng has a special day, too. Now open your book and turn to page 38, please listen and tick. Which month are they talking about? 教师引导学生观察图片。学生完成Lets try,揭示答案April。 T: Zhang Peng is running on the playground. He will take part in the sport meet. The sport meet is on April 4th. It is a special day for him.设计意图:通过Lets try引出April 和sports meet,丰富special days的含义,也为学习课文做好铺垫。2. T: And there are some special days in April, too. What are they? Do you know? S1:April Fools Day and Easter. 出示April Fools Day and Easter海报。T: What do you do on the April Fools Day? I have a video about it. Lets enjoy it.学生欣赏自制视频,了解April Fools Day。T: On that day, people play tricks with each other. If you are fooled, dont be angry. Its just a joke. 设计意图:通过节日海报和节日里同学互相戏弄的真实视频,让学生感受并了解April Fools Day。教师的文化礼仪教育也让学生明白在这一天如果被戏弄了是不能因此发脾气的。 T:When is April Fools Day? Ss: Its in April. T: Yes, its in April. Its on April 1st. T: And Easter? When is Easter? S1: Its on April 5th this year. 此环节请学生回答时会出现介词in 和on的错误使用情况,教师及时抓住教学契机,引导学生区别in 和on的使用规则,并用phonics的方法教学first,用单词条呈现1st = first。5th的教学也是如此。 T: In 2014, Easter is on April 5th. But Easter changes every year. How about 2017? When is Easter? T: Its on April 16th.设计意图:Easter的日子每年都是不一样的。书中的日子其实是2014年的日子。为了让学生了解这一文化特点,教师设计了此环节。T:What can you do on Easter?教师呈现Easter活动图片,学生仿说: Easter is a special day for me. I can .设计意图:利用图片情境自然引入,提供脚手架帮助学生语言输出,从而促进学生综合语言应用能力的提升。3. T: I love April. How about you? Zhang Peng loves April too. Lets listen and read with the video.1) Listen and point. 设计意图:回归文本,通过听指的方式熟悉课文中的单词和句型。2) Listen and read. 设计意图:听读课文,注意连读和停顿,教师指导学生朗读。学生模仿语音语调进行角色扮演。3) Read in pairs loudly, then act it.设计意图:通过同桌两人表演对话的形式,增加朗读的趣味,培养学生的合作意识,有助于他们形成自主学习能力。Step4.
