Unit 3 Traditional skills Period 1 word课题: Word课时: 第 1 课时,共 7 课时 课型:word 教学目标:1) To teach Ss main words2) To read and understand the new words3) To train Ss read words skill教学重点:1)既要学会用读单词,也要学会用音标记单词2)理解单词的意思教学难点:Train Ss words of memory and let student how to read words accord to phonetic.教学步骤:Step 1:让学生以小组为单位认识所学的单词,并能根据音标自己拼写。Step 2: 老师讲解难读单词的发音与如何快速记忆(每个单词分几部分记,一次三个字母如:description ,先des,接着cri,最后ption)最后把整个单词读两遍。Step 3: 让学生自主读单词,4人一小组,每个小组2-3个 单词。(不会的用红笔记下来问老师,尽量做到每组的每个成员都会读老师指定的单词)Step 4:让负责哪几个单词的小组派代表读并教全班同学跟着读。以此类推(其中有发音错误的老师及时纠正。)最后让全班一起读和分组读,中英文一起。Step5:单词游戏:老师说每个开头字母,学生就要快速的把那单词全部拼出来并说中文。如:d字母开头,学生可以说description 或 dive 或者其他d开头的字母。Step 6:Practice词型转换。1. describe(v)_(n)2. dive(v)_(动名词)3. require(v)_(n)4. hang(v)_(过去式)5. attract(v)_(n) _(adj)6. fish(n)_(n)7. reach(v)=_8. fit(n)=_9. luck(n)_(adj)=_10. simple(简单的)_(反义词)Step 7:Homework1) 每个单词抄三遍,中文一遍2) 完成BOOK B Vocabulary A 部分Reflection: Period 2 Reading 课题: Reading 课时: 第 2 课时,共 7 课时课型: reading教学目标: 1) To teach Ss main contents of reading2) To introduce Traditional Chinese skills3) To train Ss reading skill-skinning and scanning教学重点:Know the structure and contents of the main article andreading skill-skinning and scanning教学难点: 学生能够掌握快速阅读的技巧和熟练朗诵课文。教学步骤:Step1:Getting ready:Cartoon talkWhat is Lo doing?Where is Lo? Is it the same meaning between what lo said and what Hi said? Step 2: Watching the video about the article. then Talk about Traditional skillsWhat do you know about Traditional skills(让学生讨论还有哪些他们所知道的传统艺术)Step 3: 快速阅读文章内容并找出以下问题的答案。(限时两分钟)What do cormorants look like?Why are cormorants good at catching fish?Why does Damin hang a light on a post at the front of his boat?Where was cormorant fishing once practiced?(让学生分组合作:根据问题找答案,可以让学生进一步了解课文的大概内容。)check the answer and tell students how to find the answer (抓住问题的中重点单词从文章中找答案)Step 4: 通过进一步阅读,掌握篇章的结构和细节信息。学生阅读第一段,并完成下面的信息。about Wang DaminJob: fishermanAge:over65Health:fit学生阅读第二段,完成有关cormorant的描述。About cormorantSize:largeColour: blackGood at:caching fish and swimmingSpecial ability:can dive down and stay under the water for up two minutes.学生阅读第三段,学生之间相互讨论有关于鸬鹚捕鱼的过程。学生阅读第四段,让学生回答下列问题。Where was cormorant fishing once practised?Are young people interested in how to fish with cormorant today?What may happen to cormorant fishing in the future?Then check the answer.(让学生起来回答问题,如有错就让另外的学生提出来。训练学生能否及时纠正同学的错误并说出自己的正确答案)Step 5: 1)让学生完成课本34页B 部分的练习,使学生了解每个自然段的主旨意思。2)Ask Ss to finish the exercise of comprehension P37 D1Step 6:跟录音读课文 1) 学生跟录音读课文,教师加强朗诵技巧的指导。2) 全班一起读和分组读课文,看那一组读的既标准又流畅。Step 7:Homework1) 模仿录音的语音,语调,朗诵课文2) 完成BOOKB vocabulary A and BReflection: Period 3 Reading 课题:Reading 课时:第 3 课时,共 7 课时课型:reading教学目标:1) To introduce Traditional Chinese skills,让学生进一步了解课文内容。2) to translate the article and explain the important words and sentence.教学重点:掌握重要的单词短语知识点和课文的翻译。教学难点:能够在句子中熟练运用单词短语。教学过程:Step1:让学生全班一起读课文。Step 2: 完成课本P34 A and A2的练习.然后检查答案。 Step 3:Translate the article and important words.(在每个自然段的旁边加一幅图,还有在每个自然段的后面配有翻译和重点的单词短语)Step 4:总结整篇文章的重点单词短语:1)up to 到达(某种程度或数量) The hall can hold up to 250 people.拓展:up to now 意为到现在为止,相当于by now. Eg: Up to now he is still sad. 到现在为止,他仍然很伤心。2)Damin usually sets off in the late afternoon and gets the cormorants ready for work.A:set off 出发,动身,与set out同义,是不及物动词短语。 Eg:They set off at night.他们夜里出发了。 Eg:Will you set off/out early tomorrow.明天你们会早动身吗?B: ready 形容词,以为准备好的。 get/be ready for 意为“为.做准备”。Eg:Tom is ready for the exam.汤姆为考试做好了准备。拓展:be ready 意准备好的。 Eg: Are you ready?be ready to do sth.意为准备做某事。Eg: Im ready to go.3) First,he ties a piece of grass around their necks to stop them from eating big fish.A: tie.around 意为”栓.在.周围。Eg: The girl ties a scarf around her neck.这个女孩脖子上围着围巾。拓展:tie.to意为把.系在.上。Eg: He tied the horse to a tree.他把马栓在一棵树上。 tie up 意为“系好,捆上”。Eg: Please tie up you safety belt.请系好你的安全带。B: stop.from doing sth.(其中from 可以去掉)意为“阻止.做某事”。Eg: We should stop people from polluting the river.我们应当阻止人们污染这条河。拓展:Prevent.from 阻止.做.,在主句中from 可以省略,与stop.from 用法相同。keep.from 其中from 不可以省略。4) Then when Damins boat reaches the right place in the river.A:reach 意为到达,抵达。Eg: Dont worry, well reach Beijing in time.不要担心,我们会及时到达北京。拓展: 辨析reach,get,arrivereach:表示到达地点是,是及物动词,后面直接跟表示地点的名词。get :表示到达地点时,如果接地点名词,则要加to;如果接地点副词,则不加to.arrive:表示到达某地 时,后面要跟你介词in或at,一般来说,到达较大的地方,如国家和城市等,常用in;较小的地方,如城镇和旅馆等,常用at.5) Damin uses several ways to attract fish.attract 及物动词,意为吸引。短语:attract ones attention 意为“吸引某人的注意”。Eg: Paper cutting attracted childrens attention.剪纸吸引了孩子们的注意力。6) During the day ,he jumps up and down on his boat.up and down意为“起伏,上下波动”7) After dark, he hangs a light on a post at the front of the bout. after dark 意为“天黑后,黄昏后”。Eg: After dark,he made a fire.8):The fish are then taken and thrown into a big basket by Damin.throw. into 意为“把.扔进”Eg:Dont throw rubbish into the river.不要把垃圾扔进河里。拓展:与throw 有关的短语:throw away 扔掉throw off 匆匆脱掉(衣服)throw at向.扔掉9):In 50years ,perhaps there will be no more cormorant fishermen in the world.no more 意为“不再,相当于not.anymoreEg:He is no more a student.=He isnt a student anymore.他不再是一名学生。拓展:辨析:no more与no longerno more 意为“不再”,常用来修饰非延续性动词,表示今后不再重复以前发生的动作。He no more comes.他不再来了。no longer 意为“不再”相当于not. any longer,在句中起副词作用,用来修饰延续性动词,指某事从时间上一昂以后不再发生,其时间不再延续。Eg: We are no longer students. 我们不再是学生了。Step 5: More practice(课堂检测)1)Ask Ss to finish the exercise of vocabulary according to the title and the sub-heading(课本p36c1,c2部分)2) 完成句子。他的故事书多大50本。His storybooks are_ _50.妈妈为我们做好晚餐了。Mother _ _ _ dinner.没有人可以让这个小女孩停止哭泣。No one can _ the little girl _ _.蔬菜的价格上下波动。The price of vegetables is _ and_.不要把垃圾扔进河里。Dont _ rubbish _the water.Step 5: Homework1) 回去完成基础提升P24-P252) 回去朗诵课文 Period 4 Listening & Speaking课题: Listening & Speaking课时: 第 4 课时,共 7 课时课型: Listening & Speaking教学目标:1) To teach Ss some skills of listening2) To teach Ss to explain their own ideas3) To train Ss listening skill- grasp the missing words by the related topic4) To train Ss speaking skill-discuss the topic with classmates.教学重点:To train Ss listening skill- grasp the missing words by the related topic 5) To expand students horizons-know more about talents 教学难点:To teach Ss some new words教学过程:Step1: 全班读一遍单词和课文Step2: look at the pictures and learn the new wordsStep 3: Brainstorming: Do you know the meaning of the paper cutting Listening skillsStep4: Ask Ss to listen to material for the first time and finish the listening exercises, then, check the answer.Step5: 1)Ask Ss to read the conversation below and stress the underlined words. 2) Ask Ss to talk with their partners What are you interested in? Help the students to know how to plan the plan教学重点:To train Ss writing skill 教学目标:To raise Ss ability to describe a persons教学过程:Step 1: read the article Word Stress: Ask the students to read the article and try to conclude the rules(描绘一个人一般用一般现在时), then do some exercise.(课本44页A部分) Step 2: Pre-writingWork in groups of four, discuss their thought. Then read the passage about a person with a traditional skill.Step 3: work in pairs (根据课文44页 B 部分的例子)让学生两个人一组互相描绘自己身边的家人朋友。(训练一下他们的口语 ) Step 4: WritingAsk the students to write an interesting plan and they can write a passage about his friends and relativesStep 5:More practice1):Leading-in: Some picture about the shadow puppet plays2): Reading:Read the article and answer questions then read the text aloud3. New words and language point1)shadow puppet plays :皮影戏2)put on : 上演 还有穿上的意思。3)simple:简单的4)o 把 . 变成。5)cut out :剪成Step 6:Homework基础与提升P28-P29 Reflection: Period 6-7 Grammar课题: Grammar 课时: 第 6、 7 课时,共 7 课时课型: Grammar教学目标:1) To enable the Ss to master the usage of the passive voice.2) To teach Ss some language points教学重点:Learn some language points in More Practice教学难点:1)Learn some language points in passages2) Teach Ss the grammar of the passive voice.教学过程:Step 1: Review the simple present tense and the simple past tense.Step 2: 一. 学会使用动词一般现在时的被动语态。学生阅读教材39页的例句框中的主动句和被动句,了解主动句和被动句的区别:1)Damin uses cormorants to catch fish.(主动句)2)No nets are required for this type of fishing.(被动句)完成Work out the rules 部分的内容学生阅读教材39页Things to remember :When we want to tell who or what does something in a passive sentence ,we add a phrase with by.The fish are then taken and thrown into a big basket by Damin.老师帮助学生总结动词一般现在时的被动语态的构成: I am (not) You/We/They are (not) seen He/She/It is (not)Sb/Sth+am/is/are+past participle(+by.)二 . Finish the exercise on Page 39A and check the answer三More practice.学生判断下列句子是主动语态A还是被动语态B,巩固被动语态的结构:Somethings a cormorant sits on Damins head.(A)Damin sets off on his boat with his birds.(A)A piece of grass is tied around the neck of each bird.(B)The fish are taken and thrown int a big basket.(B)Then check the answer by students.Step 3: 学会使用动词一般过去时的被动语态。Give some examples and ask students to find out the rules of:1) The window was broken by John.2) The stone was thrown by Sally.根据上面的列子和阅读课本40页的例句,完成Work out the rule部分的内容。 We use _was_or _were_+ past participle to form the past passive voice in the simple past tense.总结一般过去时被动语态的构成:Sb/sth+was/were+past participle(+by.)完成课本40页B 的练习并让学生口头 汇报答案 Step 4: 学会使用一般将来时的被动语态。 学生阅读教材41页的例句,然后完成Work out the rule 部分的内容。We use _will_be_+past participle to form the passive voice in the simple future tense.
