Lead-in1) Show pictures of some festivals in different months.2) Show them some pictures of Thanksgiving.3) Introduce the assessment.Each group can get a piece of paper. If the student can answer teachers question, he can get a small flower and paste it on their paper.3. Process1) Show a picture of Cindy on PPT.2) Tell them Cindy is missing her grandparents, and Cindy wants to invite them to her home at Thanksgiving Day.So Cindy did many things to make preparation last Sunday.3) Play the tape of Cindys Thanksgiving Day. And let students think about “What can Cindy do?”4) Teach Ss the new words and expressions with pictures.Then write down the words and expressions on blackboard.table, wash socks, pick greens,-What can you do?- I can5) Discuss in pairs: What can Cindy do?6) Show a picture of Cindy.Play the voice of Cindy:“What can you do ?”4. Introduce the title and new knowledge.Give each of the students the chance to talk and share with others.Review and practice the expressions.Let them develop the attitude of being thankful to others.Develop the ability of doing housework.Get Ss know some easy skills to do questionnaire.Let them practice the expressions.Let Ss brave to show themselves.To review the knowledge.To be thankful to the society.and their parents.
