Test Ss competence in communicating with one another.Language points 1. 词汇: reading a newspaper, using the computer, making soup, washing the dishes, go to the movies, eat out2. 句型:What are you doing?Im watching TV.What is he doing?He is reading.Difficulties “一般现在时” ,“现在进行时”的区别和运用Teaching steps : Step 1. Warm-up Daily greetings to Ss. Step 2 New words and phrases Step 3 Lead in(1) Review the sentences with the Simple Present Tense.(2)Teacher:Today we are going to learn Unit 6 “Im watching TV” Section A and talk about “What are people doing?” First,watch a video on the screen. From the video,we know some students are walking,some students are running. (3)Show the pictures with The Present Progressive Tense and help Ss to understand the structure of “主语+be v.+ing” and what the people in the pictures are doing. Help them to describe each picture by saying “He/ she is ” (4)Ask and answer. Look at the pictures on the screen and ask “Whats he/she/it doing?/What are they doing?”,then help the students to answer. 环节说明:视频和图片教学法是呈现新知识最简单有效的方法之一,学生通过视频和图片,能更价值观的理解新单词和语句的含义。这样设计的目的是让学生在真实情景中感受出现在进行时,唤起学生的学习兴趣,使学生保持一种积极的学习状态,循序渐进地导入所学的内容。Step 4 1a1c1.认真观察图片,熟悉并朗读词组,完成1a的任务。Teacher:Please look at the pictures on Page 31.What can you see?Yes,there are some people in the building.What are they doing in the rooms?Please match the activities with pictures.2.认真听录音,完成1b的任务。Teacher:You are great!Now please look at the four names of people in 1b.Do you want to know what they are doing now?OK,lets listen to the conversations carefully and write the numbers of each activity in the blank.3.结对练习lb中的对话,并让若干组学生到讲台上展示。4.仿照1b中的对话,先由师生之间谈论1a中图片的人物正在做什么,然后再结对练习并表演对话,完成1c。Teacher:Now please read the conversation in the pictures in 1a and practice in pairs.You can refer to each picture and ask your partner what he or she is doing.环节说明:通过学习1a,让学生熟悉并掌握本节课的单词和短语;通过1b,锻炼学生的听力及抓取关键信息的能力,掌握现在进行时的基本结构;通过1c的训练让学生将现在进行时灵活运用于口语交际中。Step 5 2a2c1.认真听录音,完成2a的任务。Teacher:Now please turn to Page 32.There are two questions and two answers in the box in 2a.Listen carefully and then match the answers with the questions.2.再听一遍录音,完成2b中的对话。Teacher:From the conversation,we know Steve and Jack are doing different things.Now,please listen again and fill in the blanks.3.结对练习2b中的对话,并要求多个小组上台展示。环节说明:通过听说训练,现在进行时的结构得以很好的落实,不仅锻炼了学生的听力技巧和能力,还巩固了现在进行时态的意义和结构。Step 6 Summary (1)短语: watching TV, cleaning, reading a newspaper , talking on the phone, listening to a CD, using the computer, making soup, washing the dishes, exercising (2)含义:表示现在(说话瞬间)正在进行或发生的动作。 构成:主语+be(am, is, are) +V-ing(现在分词) (3)重点句型: - What are you doing? - Im watching TV. - What are they doing? Theyre listening to a CD. -Whats she doing? Shes washing her clothes. (4)一般现在时和现在进行时的
