Opening: Sing a song named “Bingo”.Step II. Greetings: Hello, boys and girls! Hello, Miss Chen! Nice to meet you! Nice to meet you, too! Im very happy today, how about you? Im Step III. Warming up:1. Give Ss some questions with showing them a picture of McDonalds. Ask Ss if they have been there. Then tell Ss today lets go to McDonalds and encourage them to read the title.2. Review the words of McDonalds food we have learned in the 1st period. Put the food pictures in projection with some other pictures covered mostly, then ask Ss to guess what they are and read them again. Step IV. Presentation:1. Sentence patterns: a. After Ss read the words, I show them some pictures of delicious food and ask “What would you like?” Make differences between “What would you like ?” and “What do you like?” in Chinese. b. Tell Ss “Id like a hamburger” slowly and repeat it. Then try to let Ss answer me “What would you like?” If they can do it well, Ill give them praise. c. Show Ss my chant in projection and ask one student to try to read it. Let others familiar themselves with it. Then chant and act after me once. d. Chant together. If they can do it well. Ill encourage several Ss to come to Bb and act. e. Let Ss ask and answer with their friends using this sentence patterns and get more about their friends. Ask several pairs to stand up and act.2. A game: a. Let every student take out a piece of paper and draw some food or drinks which they would like secretly. b. Ask one student to come to Bb. Others can ask him or her “What would you like?” Then let them guess. At last, he or she can show us the pictures which they draw and tell us“Id like”3. Dialogues making: a. Show Ss 2 pictures with their price. Teach them how to ask about the price of food. b. Show Ss a big price chart. Lets prictise to ask and answer about price of some food. c. I put on a cap and to be a waitress in McDonalds. Give Ss an example of buyingand selling food in McDonalds. Then ask Ss to work in groups to make some dialogues like that. Ill help them in their discussions. d. 2 minutes later, let several groups of Ss come and act their dialogues with the cap and pictures. Lets have a look which group is the best.Step IV. Practice:1. Take out our books and turn to page 23. Fill in the blanks of Lets prictise (I).2. Let 3 pairs of Ss correct the answers.3. Lets read Lets practise (I) together.Step V. Assignment:1. 把课堂上与朋友表演的去麦当劳点餐的小对话写下来。2. 找找麦当劳其它食物的英文名称,然后告诉老师或者你的朋友。Step VI. Closing:You did a good job today.
