Encourage Ss to open their mouths and speaking English.IV. Pay attention to the pronunciation of the phrases and sentences.Property: Projection, Bb, stickers, tools of doing housework Teaching Methods and Learning Methods:I. Audiolingual methodII. Environment creatingIII. Projection makingTeaching process:Step I. Warming up: T: Hello! S: Hello! T: Are you ready for the class?S: Yes!T: OK! Lets sing. Sing a song named “I can help!”Step II. Revision and leading: 1. Let Ss help me to do something I can do. Give them stickers and say “Thank you! Youre helpful.”2. Show a picture of our school and ask Ss “Are you helpful at school?” “What can you do?” Then let Ss find their friends and talk with them.3. Lets do. Stand up and exercise our bodies.4. Look at the pictures and guess what Sarah can do. Review the phrases of doing housework. Show Ss some tools and lets read and act.5. Ask 2 Ss to come near screen and have a competition. Who can say out the phrases of picture as quickly as then can.6. Let 5 Ss come to Bb and make a chant like this: “ What can you do?” “I can ”7. Lets chant. Let boys and girls perform this chant.Step III. Presentation: 1. Show Ss a picture of a big house on the screen. Lets say out the rooms one by one.2. I act like a reporter. Interview several Ss with the sentence patterns:”Are you helpful at home?” “What can you do?” Then encourage Ss to do interviews with their partners. 3. Ask and answer with Ss “What can you do in the ”4. Lets talk.1) Tell Ss “Chenjie is a helpful girl at home. She can do many things.” Watch the flash together.2) Answer my questions.3) Read after tape. Then Let them work in pairs and act this dialogue. Step IV. Practice:1. Create situation like this: I am ill at home. Who can help me do the housework? Ask Ss to work in groups and make dialogues. 3 minutes later, let them perform their dialogues.2. Write a letter to mom. Tell mom we are helpful now. We can do many things for her. Then encourage some Ss to read their letters to us.3. Tell Ss:”Help others, we will be very happy.
