Unit 5 Part A Lets try & lets talkPart 1 Teaching Material:I. Teaching contents:From this lesson ,students will learn to use the possessive pronouns of the nouns: mine, yours, ours, his.and the possessive case of nouns: Zhang Pengs ,Yifans.in the actual situation freely. And the part provides a real situation for Ss to practice the sentences structure :”whose is it ? or“ whose + noun(s) are these?” by reading and studying the conversation. Then give students a actual situation to apply the learned language flexibly .The topic of conversation is about students school things .So most of the students will join in it with interest.II. Teaching aims and demands 1. Knowledge objects(a) Be able to listen and tick the right picture. (b) Be able to read and clear the conversation . (c) Be able to grasp the meanings of the possessive pronouns of the nouns and the possessive case of nouns in context.2. Ability objects(a) To encourage the Ss to use the possessive pronouns of the nouns in actual situation freely.(b)To guide the Ss to apply the structure :”whose is it ? or“ whose + noun(s) are these? in real situation flexibly.(c) To encourage Ss cooperation amongst in their studies.3.Moral objects Get Ss to study hard and become good studying habits. And to be a loving person. III. The key and difficult points1.Key points: To help Ss to understand and apply the possessive pronouns of the nouns in actual situation 2.Difficult points:To ask and answer about the school things using sentence ”whose is it ?”or ”whose +noun(s) are these? in pairs IV. Encouragement teaching methodPart 3 Teaching ProcedureStep 1Warm up and Revision a. Daily greetings to the Ss T:My names Xu Ping .Whats your name? S1:My name is Zhang Yu. T: Whats her name? S2:Her names Li Nang. T:And his name? S3:His names Sheng AO. .b. Revision through Free talkTo help Ss review ,let Ss think and answer a question: Whose things are these? After that , encourage Ss to say like this: T: Look! Whose eraser is this? S1:Oh.Its Cao Yus T:Yes,the eraser is his . S2:Whose ruler is this? S3:Its Liu Xinyues S4:Yes, The ruler is hers. .Step 2 New presentation Lets try First , let Ss share some picture by PPT . Second ,let Ss listen and circle Johns picture. Then ,let Ss listen again and check the answer. Lets talkFirst,let Ss continue to share the pictures .Such as the pictures of Beijing and Shanghai.Task 1 listen and answer. let Ss watch the cartoon and answer some simple questions. 1.Which picture is Chen Jies ? 2.Whose the picture of Beijing? 3.Whose picure of Shanghai? Task 2 Lets talk .First,Let Ss read the talk together. Meanwhile ,teacher help Ss to grasp the the word: mine and ours. And the key sentences :”Are these all ours? Whose is it? There is a picture of Shanghai . ”Second ,let Ss read the conversation in groups .Task 3 Role-play . First ,let Ss read the dialogue as role. Second ,encourage Ss to role-play .Step 3 practiceFirst, show liangliangs picture to Ss and let Ss talk about what on the desk is . E.g. T:look ,this is Liangliangs pen .What else? S1: His books T: Yes , these are his books. S2:These are his rulers . S3:These are his pencils. .Task 4 Pair-work .First , let Ss read and understand the question-and-answer from Chen Jie and Sarah . Second ,encourage Ss to make simple question-and-answer as Chen Jie and Sarah using the school things with partner .Last ,choose Ss to present them in class .Step 4 extension First ,Let Ss know the activity theme by pictures. Whose gifts that for Ss from the far village are these ? Second ,let Ss ask and answer to make a report according the pictures of the presents and Ssphotos . Next,choose to present the report result in class. Last , Affective Education . Guide Ss to study hard、value time and be a loving person .Step 5 class closing and homework Summing up 1.Key words : mine、his、hers、ours、whose . 2.Key sentences: Whose is it? Its Zhang Pengs . Encourage Ss do more better in next class .Part 6 Teaching reflection :Students mainly practise the listening and learned the short conversation by reading . Students are very interested in finishing the tasks. Most of Ss are really active to join in class .In a word , S
