Emotional attitude and valueLove our life and love to help others.Teaching key points 1.Learn the new words. 2.Reading and understanding.Teaching difficult points Improve students reading ability.Teaching aids A tape records , screen Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up Invite students to make conversations about talking how we get to school. A:“How do you get to school ?”B: “I get to school by bus.”Step 2 New words 1. Teacher show the new words ,and invite some students to read out the words one by one .2. Students repeat ,and the teacher correct the pronunciation. 3. Let students make sentences using each word.4. Read the new words for several times to master the words.Step 3 Before-reading The teacher show the picture and the title ,let students guess what the passage is about. Students may give the answers as below: How do the students go to school ? Why do they go to school like the picture? What is the students dream?Step 4 While- readingFirst ,Scan the article . 1.Make students understand they should read and answer the following questions How do the students in the village go to school?Why do they go to school like this?Does the boy like his school ? why?What is the villagers dream ? Do you think their dream can come true? Why or why not?2.The teacher play the tape ,and students listen carefully ,at the same time students pay attention to the pronuciation and underline the answers to the questions. 3.Invite some students to check the answers in pairs. One ask and the other answer.Second , understand the passage . 1. Students read the passage together .2. Choose some key and difficult sentences to explain. Make sure that students really understand.Third ,finish acivity 2c. 1. The students cover the passage and fill in the blanks with the words from the passage according to the memory. 2.Check the answers.Step 5 After-reading 1. Recite the story. The teacher let students recite the story using the main words and sentences in the passage . Invite some to recite in class.2. Expand .Role-play the conversation . Student A is an interviewer from CCTV, student B is the boy in the passage . Talk about how he get to school according to the story. If the time is enough we can practice the conversation in class. If there is not enough time to practice ,students can finish it after class and act it in class next class.Step6 Summary Summarize the lesson by reciting the story.Step 7 Homework 1. R
