It helps students to learn about some kinds of transportation.In this period,students will learn about how the students in one small village in China get to school. The sentence pattern to be talked about is a kind of “it is +adj./n +for sb. to do sth.” . Students have learned “WH” questions before.Part 2.Teaching Aims1. Knowledge Objectives:After the lesson, students should be able to:(1) Master the four-skilled words and phrases.(2) Master the key sentence patterns.2. Ability Objectives:(1) Improve students reading skills, such as skimming, scanning, especially identifying the main idea for each paragraph and consider what questions are answered by each paragraph.Part3. Teaching Important Points1. Infer the main idea of the passage according to the title.Part4. Teaching Difficult Points1. Infer the main idea of the passage according to the title2. Understand some difficult words, phrases and sentences.Part 5. Teaching methods1.The method of discussing (讨论法) Discuss the meanings of the key phrases in this period .2. The method of guessing.(预测法) Look at the title and the picture, guess what the passage is about. 3.The intuitive method of teaching. (直观法) Lead in by a video to arouse students interest.4.The task-based teaching approach. (任务型教学法) The whole teaching process will be carried out by learning and reading tasks. During the process , the students will become the real masters of their learning and reading , while the teacher acts as a director. Its about how the students in the village get to school. (Purpose: To develop students ability of predicting what the passage is talking about according to the title and the information appeared in the reading material including the pictures. ) Open your book and look at the picture.
