Ability Objects:(1) The students can listen and understand what a person looks like.(2) The students can describe peoples appearance using the words and phrases above.3. Moral Objects:(1) Through the activities of talking about peoples looks, students can learn to respect and understand others and not to judge the person from their appearance.(2) Students can have good teamwork spirit.II. Teaching Key Points:1. To master the vocabulary about peoples looks.2. To describe peoples looks with target language:-What do you look like? -Im thin-What do they look like? -They are of medium height.-What does he/she look like? -He/She has straight hair/medium build III. Teaching Difficult Points:To know the differences between “is” and “has”.IV. Teaching Procedures:Step 1 Warming up and leading in.T: Good morning, boys and girls. This class we will learn how to describe peoples looks. Now look at the following pictures in PPT and talk about what they look like.1. Show the pictures with PPT, and help students to describe peoples looks. Start like this: What does he/she look like?2. Then show the new words below each pictures. Student read: short, heavy, medium height, thin, short hair, curly hair, straight hair.Step 2 1a.T: Now look at the pictures in 1a. How many students can you see? What do they look like? Can you use the given words to describe them? Lets read the words twice.1. Ask students to read the words and match them with the pictures in 1a.2. Encourage students to say something about the pictures using the target words.Step 3 1b,1c.1. Listen twice and finish 1b, then check the answers.2. Ask students to read and act out the conversation in the picture. Then ask students to talk about their best friends in pairs. The other members in the pairs are expected to find them.Step 4 2a,2b.1. Ask students to listen to the taps for the first time and students just listen. 2. Then listen to the taps for the second time and answer the questions of 2a.Check the answers.3. Ask the students to listen once again and fill in the chart in 2b and check the answers.Step 5 2c.T: you must be good at drawing. Now lets do 2c together. You guys work in pairs. One looks at the chart in 2b. The other asks him questions about one of the people and then draws a picture of the person.Step 6 Summary and Homework.A:Hello, Tom. 1. _?B:Yes.
