Do you guys feel happy today? Ss: Good morning Miss Hu! Yes, we are happy!T: Thats good! Lets begin our class now, are you ready?Ss: Yes.Step II Lead-in (5 minis)1. Brain stormT: Last time we talked about some facts about smoking, and also we discussed some dangers of smoking. As we all know, smoking is bad for our health right? To some extent cigarettes are drugs, so how do you guys know about drugs? Any word you know about drugs is ok, please speak it out. For example, drug is bad for our body.Ss: Drug is dangerous.T: Yes, you are right. Drug does harm for our body, and it is so powerful that people can easily be addicted to it.Ss: It causes heart attack.T: Yes, drugs can increase the heart rate and make the blood pressure go so high, and then the drug addict will go to hospital maybe, thats right, thank you. Ss: Cocaine.T: Maybe crack cocaine, cannabis and any other drugs are addictive. Thank you Gus! All of you have done a good job. Now would you please look at the PPT, I will show you some pictures about drugs. Step III Introduce the new words (5 minis) T: And now lets see the new words we have mentioned in our conversation just now. in fact, they are all in your books, so would you please open your text books and turn to Page 12. Ill introduce these new words to you. Please read these words after me: addictive, blood pressure, break into, cannabis, crack cocaine, danger, drug addict, drug dealer, heart attack, heart rate, immediately, increase, inject, needle, powerful, reduce. (read them one time)T: Good! Today we are going to read two articles in order to gain more information about drugs. Before reading, Id like to divide our class into 3 groups so that you can finish some tasks together. The first two lines are group 1, the third and the fourth line are group 2, and the last two lines are group 3. Now would you please look at the PPT, choose the correct meaning of these words. Id like someone to guess the meaning of them, if you are right; Ill give your group one mark, OK?Ss: OK.T: No.1, if a drug is addictive, does it mean that (a) you can easily stop taking it or (b) you cannot stop taking it? Who is brave enough to guess the meaning of the word “addictive”? Ss1: (b) you cannot stop taking it.T: Thank you! Youre right. Id like to give your group one mark. (Write down it on the blackboard)No.2, does powerful mean (a) very strong or (b) very weak? This time, I would like the girl sitting in the third line who is in red to answer this question.Ss2: (a) very strong.T: Yes, its true. If something is powerful, that means it is strong. Id like to give group 2 one mark.No.3, if something increases, does it (a) get bigger or (b) get smaller? Who would like to give me your answer, please raise your hand?Ss3: (b) get smaller.T: Do you think he (she) is right?Ss: No, its (a) get bigger.T: Yes, youre right. Step IV Fast reading (5 minis)T: There are two opening paragraphs of two different articles, please go through them quickly, and match the right topic of each article. Ill give you 3 minutes and ask somebody to answer the questions, if you are right, I will give your group 2 marks. Clear?Ss: clear.(the teacher walks around the classroom when the Ss are reading)T: Time is up. Who would like to tell us the topic of Article 1? OK, you please.Ss4: A drug addict and his story.(the teacher write down the topic on the blackboard)T: Very good! Thank you! I would like to give your group 2 marks. How about the second one? OK, you please.Ss5: The dangers of using cocaine.T: Do you all agree with her (he)? Ss: Yes.T: Good for you guys! So, group1 gets 2 marks. OK, we have finished this chapter, please turn to next page, just now we knew the topics of these two articles, then please read Parts 1-6 and decide which article they belong to. 2 minutes and then you can grasp your chance to get marks for your group.T: Have you finished it? Step Homework Assignment (1 minis)Complete activity 6 on Page 13.六、 Blackboard Design/板书设计 Article 1 A drug addict and his story(2,3,5,6 Part)Article 2 The dangers of using cocaine(1,4 Part) Lesson 3, Module 2No DrugsGroup1:2:3: 【教学思考与感悟】在模块的教学过程之中,完成既定的教学内容之后,英语教学过程之中应该把德育和法制教育结合起来,结合本模块文章是关于毒品的,在课本内容结束之后,我特地留了时间来对学生进行禁毒相关的法制宣传。向学生介绍了“6.26”国际禁毒日和我国法律对毒品犯罪的相关规定。附件1:6.26国际禁毒日宣传资料国际禁毒日: 2015年6月26日是国际禁毒日即国际反毒品日。主题是“远离毒品、健康、拥抱美好生活远离毒品”。 1987年6月12日至26日,联合国在维也纳召开有138个国家的3000多名代表参加的麻醉品滥用和非法贩运问题部长级会议。会议提出了“爱生命,不吸毒”的口号。与会代表一致同意将每年的6月26日定为“国际禁毒日”,以引起世界各国对毒品问题的重视,同时号召全球人民共同来解决毒品问题。 节日简介: 1987年6月,在奥地利首都维也纳举行了联合国部长级禁毒国际会议,有138个国家的3000多名代表参加了这次国际禁毒会议。这次会议通过了禁毒活动的综合性多学科纲要。26日会议结束时,与会代表一致通过决议,从1988年开始将每年的6月26日定为“国际禁毒日”,以引起世界全国各地对毒品问题的重视,同时号召全球人民共同来解决毒品问题。 世界范围的毒品蔓延泛滥,已成为严重的国际人民的威胁。据联合国统计,全世界每年毒品交易额高达5000亿美元以上,是仅次于军火交易的世界第二大宗买卖。80年代,全世界因吸毒造成了10万人死亡。毒品不仅严重摧残人类健康,危害民族素质,助长暴力和犯罪,而且吞噬巨额社会财富。对于发展中的国家来说,毒品造成的损失和扫毒所需要的巨额经费更是沉重的负担。根据刑法第357条的规定:毒品是指鸦片,海洛因,甲基苯丙胺(冰毒),吗啡,大麻,可卡因以及国家规定管制的其它能够使人形成瘾癖的麻醉药品和精神药品.毒品的基本特征是依赖性;非法性;危害性.毒品的危害,可以概括为毁灭自己,祸及家庭,危害社会十二个字.(1)毒品严重危害人的身心健康;(2)毒品问题诱发其他违法犯罪,破坏正常的社会和经济秩序;(3)毒品问题渗透和腐蚀政权机构,加剧腐败现象;(4)毒品问题给社会造成巨大的经济损失.毒品的分类方法有很多,可从不同的角度进行不同的分类:(1)根据国际公约的有关规定,可将毒品分为麻醉药品和精神药品.(2)根据毒品来源和生产方法不同,可分为天然毒品和合成毒品.(3)根据毒品对人体的作用,可分为麻醉剂,抑制剂,兴奋剂,镇静剂和致幻剂.(4)根据毒品对人的危害程度,分为软性毒品和硬性毒品. 一旦沾染毒品就会成瘾是每个吸毒者的必然结局.成瘾时间的快慢与使用毒品的种类,纯度,剂量,每日的次数,及滥用的方式而异,个体耐受差异也有重要的关系. 据资料记载,吸食海洛因,每日四次,每次一克,连续三天就能使人产生毒瘾.也有报道,每日吸食一次海洛因,五天左右就能产生毒瘾.亦有报道,海洛因四号静脉注射一次就足以令你上瘾,戒断综合症的出现,是认定阿片类成瘾的重要临床标志.我国刑法规定走私,贩卖,运输,制造鸦片一千克以上海洛因或者苯丙胺五十克以上, 可处十五年有期徒刑,无期徒刑或者死刑,并处没收财产.附件2:案例:警惕新型毒品入侵校园孙琴第一次接触毒品是为了减肥。那一年,她才14岁。“要想身材好,就用壶壶漂。”孙琴说的“壶壶漂”是指用一种特定的容器吸食冰毒。孙琴和她的朋友都相信了一个谎言:包装时尚的冰毒并不算毒品,偶尔吸食也不会上瘾。吸食冰毒后,孙琴的皮肤变得惨白,没有血色。在贵州省女子强制隔离戒毒所内,孙琴为自己的无知后悔不已。贵州省公安厅禁毒总队三处处长张德晟对中国青年报中青在线记者表示,今年新发现吸毒人员中,26岁以下的青少年比率增加,占总数的40%左右,许多人抱着“减肥”“减压”“试一试”的心态接触毒品。“家长和学校缺少足够的警觉和重视。”张德晟说。新型毒品披上“无害”外衣“有这样一种东西,吃了不仅可以减肥,还可以忘却烦恼,不会上瘾”和孙琴一样,周倩接触毒品也是在朋友的“忽悠”下开始的。那一年,她正上初三。周倩说,她第一次吸食冰毒后非常难受,“连着呕吐了三四天”。即便这样,周倩也没远离毒品,“高兴吸一口,心情郁闷也要来一口”。她说,自己有一天突然意识到,身体已经被毒品控制了。周倩慢慢开始不喜欢去学校,不愿意学习,“一日三餐不吃都可以,但是不能没有毒品”。在她的意识里,只有“白粉”(海洛因)才算毒品。“如果别人拿白粉给我,我肯定不会碰一下。”她说。相比鸦片、大麻、海洛因等传统毒品,冰毒是通过人工合成的致幻剂、兴奋剂类毒品。冰毒的主要成份麻黄碱,一些常见的药品中也含有,贵州省贵阳市公安局云岩分局禁毒大队
