Lead-in 1. 通过图片向学生引入展示新单词,并带领学生朗读学习新单词。2. 在大屏幕上向学生展示一封来自朋友的邀请信。 Dear Linda, Hi, Linda. I am going to have a party on Saturday afternoon. I want to ask some friends to come to my party. Some can come, but some are not available. Bob has to prepare for an exam. Dave has the flu, so he has to go to a doctor. May has to help her parents, so she cant come, either. Read the sentences to the class and the students repeat each one. Can you come to my party?“Sure, Id love to.” “Im sorry, I have to”. Have the S1 give “yes answers” and S2 give “no answers” then plus a reason. Ask students to give their own reasons. If necessary, I can give a reason and have the students repeat it. 2. 用汉语向学生说明回答别人邀请时,所作的两种类型的答复。. Pairwork 1. Tell Ss to look at the reasons in the chart. 2. Let Ss read the conversation on the screen. 3. Ss practice the conversations using the reasons in the chart on the screen with their partners.4. Ask some pairs to act out their conversations.e.g. S1: Can you go shopping with me? S2: Sorry, I cant. I have to prepare for the math exam. . Listening 1. T: Now listen to the recording and complete the blanks. 2. Play the recording twice and then check the answers with the students. PresentationShow students the the conversation on the screen. Let them know another answer. Then let them practice the conversation. . Group workShow students a picture of the movie Happy Potter on the screen.1. Work in groups. Ask some classmates to go to the movies this weekend. And make a conversation with them.2. Give students a modal:A: Can you go to the movies this weekend?B: Sure, Id love to. I like the movie.C: Sorry, I cant. I have to prepare for an exam.D: I am afraid not. I have to meet my friend.Thanks for asking. 3.Let students make conversations in groups and then act out in the class. . Summary Tell Ss to make a summary. Some students summarize the sentence structure and some students summarize the phrases we learnt in this class. .
