Unit 7 Will people have robots ? Section B 1a1ePart 1. Analysis of teaching material This part is the first part of the seventh unit Section B. This lesson is about peoples past, present and future. It is related to our daily life, so students should be interested in it.Part 2. Analysis of the studentsGrade eight students have been studying English for a few years. They can easily understand some words and sentences, and they have learned the past tense, present tense and future tense. However, the class two grade differentiation is serious, some of the poor students to learn, but also need to cooperate to complete the team to complete the learning task.Part 3. Teaching aims1. Knowledge aims:1) Students are able to master vocabulary and phrases: astronaut, apartment, rocket, station space, programmer computer2) Students are able to master three different kinds of temporal: the past tense, the present tense, the general future2. Ability aims:1) To enhance the students ability to listen, speak, read and write2) Training of students self-learning ability and the ability to strengthen group cooperation3) To develop the students logical expression ability3, Emotional attitude aim:Through group cooperation, students learn to share and cooperate with others.Part 4. Teaching important and difficult points:1.Master the following key words, phrases and sentences: astronaut, apartment, rocket, station space, programmer computer-Where do you live ? - - I live in an apartment .2. Learn to use the past tense, present tense and future tense.Part 5. Teaching method:As we all know, good teaching method can help teachers improve students perception of English language. In order to achieve the teaching goal, I use the following teaching method to complete: the Communicative Approach(交际教学法), Taskbased Language Teaching(任务教学法)and Total Situational Action(情景教学法).Part 6. Teaching aids:Recorder, PPTPart 7. Teaching proceduresAnd now Im here to introduce the most important part of this lesson: the teaching procedures. It consists of the following parts:1. pre-operationPre job design, I designed a total of two: the first is the 1a and 1b in the student book.Write each word in the correct column below. Think of other words and write them in the chart . Then make up sentences with the words in each chart . astronaut house apartment train rocket space station computer programmerJobsTransportationPlaces to liveEg: An astronaut lives in a space station. He goes to work by rocket. The design of the second operations is to do the survey , and to complete the dialogue among the three kinds of tenses.10 years agoNow10 years from nowWhat did you do ?What do you do ?What will you do ?How did you go to school ?How do you go to school ?How will you go to school ?Where did you live ?Where do you live ?Where will you live ?Eg : A:What did you do 10 years ago ? B:I stayed at home with my mother .2、Teaching steps:Step 1、 Warming up At the beginning , Ill show a video about the future life to the Ss and ask them what they saw in it .(Purpose : I think its important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by watching a video It will arouse their interest of learning this lesson .)Step 2. Pre-task1、Brainstorming .Show some pictures to review the words in 1a and say out other words like these as many as possible . 2、Ask and answer in pairs:A:What will you be in 10 years ?B: I will be a .A: Where will you work ?B: I will work in .Step 3. Complete the first pre-operation . Ask the Ss to show their answers ,then check the answers on the screen . Step 4. Ask the Ss to make up sentences by using the words in 1a and 1b .(purpose: To review they have learned in last lessons ,The two activities can make the Ss remember the words easily and lead them to speak English actively .)Step 5. Finish 1c .1. Ill ask the Ss to look at the pictures carefully ,then answer the questions to predict the listening contents .Q1:Where are the two people in each picture ?Q2:What are they doing in each picture ?Q3:What do you think they are saying to each other ?(Purpose : Its necessary for the Ss to predict the contents , It can help Ss to reduce the difficulty of hearing ,improve the Sss listening level )2. Listen to the tape and number the pictures 1to 3 , then check the answers on the screen .Step 6 . Finish 1d 1. Before listening ,ask the Ss to read the sentences in 1d and try filling the blanks by themselves .2. .Listen to the tape and check the answers on the screen .Step 7. Finish 1e1. Make a conversation with a student about Alexis and Joe ,and then write it on the Bb .-Where do you live? -I live in an apartment. -Where did you live ten years ago?-I lived in a house in the country.-Where will you live in ten years? -I will live in the space station. 2. Finish the second pre-operation , ask and answer in groups . The Ss make conversations like this with their partners .3.Show three pictures of me , then show them a passage about my past life ,now life and future life . At last let them write a short passage about themselves . (Purpose : This part can improve the Ss speaking ,writing and cooperation skills )Step 8 :HomeworkWrite the passage and share it with your partn
