If you will go to an island alone, you can take three things with you, what will you take?Free talk between the students. Preview some key words and language points learned in previous units.(Purpose of my designing : I think its important to form a better English surrounding for the students and its necessary to provide a suitable reading background for students. Help students get some background information of Robinson Crusoe.)Step 2 Extensive reading1.Scanning: give students two minutes to read through the passage to find out the answer of the two questions.(1) What does Robinson Crusoe wait for?(2) Why does Robinson Crusoe call the man Friday? students have a summary by themselves.( Purpose of my designing :train students reading speed.)Step 3 Intensive reading In this part, I will let students read the passage paragraph by paragraph carefully. Students have to conclude the main idea of each paragraph and grasp the new words, new phrases. Then do some specific understanding exercise of the passage.( Purpose of my designing :train students comprehensive ability)Step 4 ListeningLet the students listen to the tape and pay attention to the pronunciation(purpose of my designing: enhance students spoken English)Step 5 Discussion1. What do you think of Robinson now?He is brave, calm, optimistic, hardworking and clever.2.
