Unit 9 Have you ever been to an amusement park? By Pan QiAnalysis of teaching materialThis period is aiming at talking about past experiences using the Present Perfect Tense. The first period serves as an introduction and a leading-in part. The material in talking are mostly from the recent life and is familiar to them, so they will be interested in it. A series of questions and plenty of pictures are used to attract students attention. And listening pair work and group work are also used in this period.Students levelAs students in Grade Eight, they have recently learned the Present Perfect Tense. It will be not very difficult for them to understand the material. Most students will be interested in the topic about their past experiences ,which is related to their real life. Its helpful for our study of this lesson.Learning strategiesStudents will be able to predict what they will hear according to the theme picture.Students will be able to get the general idea or specific information by using listening skills.Students will be able to talk about past experiences freely.Teaching aimsKnowledge objects:1. Students will be able to understand and use the following key words and phrases: amusement park, space museum, water park, Me neither, somewhere different2.
