Unit 8 Have you read Treasure Island yet?教学设计Period 1 (Section A 1a-1c)一、教学目标1.通过本节课的活动,学生能够读出单词和名著作品的名称。2.通过听说训练,学生会用现在完成时介绍自己及询问他人读过的名著。二、教学过程Step 1 Check students previewT: I will ask one line to give us you answer.Ss read the word and give its Chinese meaning one by one.Give Ss one minute to recite the words then have a small check. Step 2 Lead-in Watch a short movie about Alice in Wonderland.Then ask Ss what the name of the movie is. Have you heard the book Alice in Wonderland? Do you like reading? What kind of books do you like best? Then the teacher makes a summary. No matter what book you like reading, just read it. Because reading can lead us in to a new colorful world. Step3 Presentation(1) Show the pictures of the four great classic novels in China. Then some foreign classics.Then ask Ss to match the book titles with the pictures.(2) Show the picture of the Alice in Wonderland and the important sentences. A:Have you read /red/ Alice in Wonderland yet? B: Yes, I have. No, I havent. A:Have you read /red/ Treasure Island yet? B:Yes, I have. No, I havent. A:Have you read /red/ Robinson Crusoe yet? B:Yes, I have. A:What do you think of it? =How do you like it?=Whats it like? B:I think its fantastic.(课外延伸:1.Robinson Crusoe met a man and named him Friday. Why? 2.What can we learn from Robinson Crusoe?) A:Have you read /red/ Tom Sawyer yet? B:Yes, I have. A: Whats it like? B:I think its exciting.(课外延伸:What is the boy Robinson Crusoe like? He is a brave and smart boy.He always give his friends courage.He tries his best to help his friends.)Step 4 Listening and practicingListening skills(听力技巧):1. Be confident. Believe yourself. 2. Look through the chart and guess the answers . 3.Write down at least two letters(字母) while listening.(1)T: Now listen to the tape and find out what books they have read. (2)T: Listen to it once more and find out whether if they have read it or not? (3)T: Listen to it the last time and answer what they think of the book.Check the answers and use the following questions: What books have you heard? Has Judy read it? What does she think of it? (4)Recite the listening .Nick hasnt read Treasure Island.Judy has read Treasure Island.
