Unit5 Why do you like pandas?Section A (1a-2c)永丰滩初级中学 包达志教学目标 知识与技能 1.Master the pronunciation spelling and using of the key word: Animal: tiger elephant koala panda lion giraffe. Count:South Africa China Australia. Some adjectives about character:smart,cute,fun,lazy. 2.Master the use of the sentences: Why do you want to see the lions? /Why do you like lions? Because theyre cute/interesting/. 过程与方法 首先播放一段关于动物的简短视频,自然引入本单元新课的教学。接着“给动物明命名”:先出示一段动物园的视频,让学生尽可能记住动物名称并用英语拼出来;重播一遍,共同补充遗漏的单词,老师教学新单词。之后完成1a与1b,继续巩固所有动物名称的单词。第三步“动物长得什么样”:先向学生不同动物的图片,让学生们找出描写动物特征的形容词,老师补充新词并加以讲解。第四步是“我最喜爱的动物”:让学生谈论自己所爱的动物及原因,并互相询问“角色扮演”找出本小组最喜爱的动物。第五步听力,完成2a,2b,接着操练2b的句型。最后,角色扮演,综合运用所学知识。 情感态度与价值观 通过谈论动物,教育学生热爱动物,保护大自然,维护生态平衡。教学重点1. Why引导的特殊疑问句,用because表示原因,表示性质、品质的形容词的使用及程度的表达。教学难点1. Train students communicative competence.2. Improve students spoken English.3. Teach students to express preference and give reasons 教学方法 利用任务型教学法进行调查、填表等笔头练习,强化对所学知识的灵活运用能力。同时利用情景交际发、比较分析法、鼓励鞭策发等多种方法挖掘学生潜力。 学习方法 合作学习方法、自主参与法、诵读法。教学准备 教师准备 各种动物图片、与动物相关的视频、录音机、磁带等。 学生准备 准备单词卡片,料及某些动物的性情。教学过程 Step I Lead-in Show students a short film of an animal on the screen and ask:Do you know this animal ?Is it smart? Then describe the animal simply. Ask:Are you interested in the animal ?If you want to know more about animals,please follow me to the zoo.Lets start Unit5 Step Name the animals(1a,1b) 1.Show students a short film of a zoo on the screen and ask students to remember the names of the animals . 2.Let the students say as many animals theyve seen as they can quickly. 3. Show the film again and add some words that students cant spell out,such as tiger, elephant,koala,panda,lion,giraffe etc,Let the students read after the teacher and recite the words for about four minutes. 4.match the words with the animals in the picture.(1a)Check the answers. 5.Listen and check the animals you hear in 1a.(1b)Check the answers. Step What does the animals look like 1.Show some animal pictures one by one and ask the students:What does the animal look like? Let the students talk about the animals with some adjectives.If the students cant say out, the teacher will help them.Some adjectives about character:cute,smart,interesting,fun and so on. 2.Let the students talk notes about the adjectives and try to read out. 3.The teacher explains the uses of some words. (1)kind n.种类,品种。常见的短语有:a king of “一种”;kinds of“很多种”;all kinds of“各种各样的”;different kinds of“不同种类的”。例如:a kind of animal一种动物。 adj.友善的,好心的。例如He is kind to us.他对我们很好。 kind of 表示有点儿,稍微;相当于a little,a bit,后面加形容词。例如;im kind of tride.我有点累了。Step IV My favorite animal (1c)1. The teacher talks his/her favorite animal with some adjectives. For example;I like pandas best.Because they are cute and beautiful.2. Ask about your partners favorite animals and reasons in pairs.A;Whats your favorite animal?B;Its.A;Why do you like it?B;Because its.3. Suppose youre going to the zoo in groups,make a survey;What animals would you like to see?A;Lets see the lions first.B;Why? (Why is that? )A;Because they are cute.4. Give a report like this;We all like pandas because theyre cute,lovely,smart and quite.We dont like lions because theyre scary.We want to choose.to stand for(代表)our group.Step V Listening(2a,2b)1. Listen to the tape.Write the animals you hear.Draw a line from the animals to the description words and the countries.Check the answers.2.
