Ability objective 1)Students will be able to communicate others by using the target languages. 2)To improve students abilities of listening and speaking. 3)To offer help when possible.3.Moral objects Enable the Ss to learn how to thank people when someone helps them. 4. Learning strategies 1) By observing and comparing the different words, students will be able to find the access to grasping the pronunciation and spelling of the words. 2) By looking at the picture and its title, predict the main idea of the passage.Teaching main and difficult pointsTeaching main points:1) How to ask about prices2) How to talk about clothing3) How to offer help4) How to thank someoneTeaching difficult points: 1) To grasp the names of the clothes2) How to communicate with others in a realistic situationAnalysis of the teaching material The text is designed according to the principles of the “New English Course Standards”. The topic of the unit is shopping. The main content of this class is to learn some new words and sentence patterns that are related to shopping. I think its necessary for the students in Junior Grade One to learn this topic. By learning the words about colors, shapes and sizes, students will be able to express their thoughts when shopping, and at the same time, they will learn how to thank someone. During the learning process, students can learn how to write some simple advertisements and also broaden their horizon.Teaching Methods1. Task-based Method2. Communicative Approach3. Situational ApproachThe idea of my teaching designApply the task-based teaching method. Several “tasks” will be designed for the students, and the students are encouraged to talk and communicate with their partners in English. Through the “tasks”, students will be able to use English in practical situations, and learn some relevant knowledge, rather than just learn grammar items. Thats why I will also adopt communicative approach and situational approach.Meanwhile, I will also explore the students-centered teaching model. I will treat the students as the center roles in the class, and I am just their guide. Through my guiding, they can learn by themselves. Let the students cooperate with each other and try to find some new knowledge by themselves. And I just provide a platform for my students to show their talent and skills.Designing of learning context1. Show the first page of the PPT, and remind the students to put the picture into their mind.T: Today lets come to Unit 7. Boys and girls, please look at the title, especially the picture carefully. They will help you answer the question on the next page.2. Show the pictures to the students and let them to guess what kind of shopping we will talk about today. T: What kind of shopping will we talk about today? S: Shopping for clothes.3. Show the mind map for the students. T: My dear students, we know that when shopping for clothes, we may think about (1) clothes items, (2) colors, (3) prices, (4) sizes and structures.Purpose: By leading in the class this way, Students attention can be easily drawn to todays materials.Step 2: Presentation 1. Task. I will divide the students into several small groups. And let them discuss the first task. T: Todays first task is to discuss the first 4 items. For example Group 1 will discuss the clothes item. All the members in your group should try your best to find how many words about clothes we know. Do you understand? S: Yes. T: OK. Task begins. (After several minutes)T: Well, my dear students, please turn back. Lets check from the colors because I think its easy for you. Group 6, all the students, please stand up, and each member should tell us at least one color. Are you ready?S: Yes, we are.T: The colors we learn .S: Black, white, red, green, blue, yellow, brown and purple. (After the students answers are over)T: Great. Now lets review the conversations about colors. Whats that? What are those? Its a hat. They are socks. What color is it? What color are they? Its red and white. Theyre red and yellow. Have you noticed that the difference between these two dialogues?S: Yes, we have. The first one belongs to the singular sentence. And the second belongs to the plural one.T: Marvelous. Lets come to the step of “Its your turn now”. Who wants to have a try?S1: I want to.T: OK. we ask, you answer. Do you understand?S1: Yes, I do.Purpose: To help Ss not only review the sentence patterns, but also lead them to learn the new words for clothing in natural speech. B: Theyre two dollars.Purpose: To help Ss focus on words and expressions used in greetings and introductions.Step 6: PracticeT: Marvelous. Lets come to the step of “Its your turn now”. Who wants to come the blackboard and act as a teacher.S1: I want to .T: OK. But this time, “You ask, we answer”. Are you ready?S1: Yes, Im.Purpose: To help Ss not only review the sentence patterns, but also lead them to learn the new words for clothing in natural speech.
