Unit 10 Id like some noodles.Period1 Section A(1a-1c)I. Teaching aims1. To master the words about food: noodles, beef, mutton, chicken, cabbage, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, would like.2. To master the usage of countable nouns and uncountable nouns.3. To master how to order food by using the sentences below:(1.) -What would you like? - Id like some beef/chicken/cabbage/noodles.(2.) -What kind of noodles would you like?-Id like beef and tomato noodles, please.II. Teaching important and difficult points1. To master the usage of countable nouns and uncountable nouns.2. To use “would like” to express their need for food and learn how to order food.III. Teaching tools: chalk, computer, ppt.IV. Teaching proceduresStep 1 Lead inShow the pictures and let the students answer the question: T: What do you like?SS:I like oranges/apples.Step2. Presentation1. Play the PPT, let the students look at the pictures of food.2. Read and repeat the new words of food used in noodles.3. Ask the students what would she / he like about the foods.4. Play the PPT and learn the sentence:T: -What would you like? SS: - Id like some beef/chicken/cabbage/noodles.5. Let the students compare the countable nouns with uncountable nouns and find out the differences of them.6. Present the usage of countable nouns and uncountable nouns.7. Ask students to work in pairs. One student is the waiter, the other one is the customer. Then let them perform the conversation in the front of the class.S1: -What would you like? S2: - Id like some beef/chicken/cabbage/noodles.Step3. Presentation 1. Ask the students the question: Are you hungry? Lets go to the restaurant!2. Show the specials: Special 1, Special2, Special3 and understand their meanings.3. Play the PPT and ask:(1) Can you see the bowl? (2) What are in it? (3) - What kind of noodles would you like? - Id like beef and tomato noodles.4. Play other pictures and learn the sentences.5. Present the usage that a noun is put before the other noun.6. Ask students to work in pairs. One student is the waiter, the other one is the customer. Then let them perform the conversation in the front of the class.S1: -What kind of noodles would you like? S2: - Id like beef/chicken/cabbage noodles./ - Id like beef and tomato noodles.Step3. Presentation1. Ask students to match each word with the foods in 1a.2. Present the countable and uncountable nouns.3. Have the students repeat the sentences in the textbook after the teacher.Step4. Listening1. Have the students look at three bowls of noodles in picture in the textbook. Ask: What ingredients are in these noodles?2、Play the recording the first time .Students only listen.3、Play the recording a second time and correct the answers.Step5. Design exercises:一、把下列名词分类:orange, apple, banana, noodle, beef, mutton, chicken, cabbage, potato, tomato, carrot, milk可数名词:不可数名词:二、根据句意及图片填空:1. A: What you ? B:I some .2. HomeworkMake up a conversation about what you learn this period.教学反思:本节课的主要内容是让学生了解并学习一些跟食物有关的词汇,话题围绕餐馆点餐展开,通过本节课的学习,要求学生能够运用Id like来表达对食物的需求和能够区分可数名词与不可数名词。通过本节课的学习效果来看,首先,学生已经掌握用两种句型来表达对食物的需求,也能够区分出一个名词是可数名词还是不可数名词。其次,通过PPT上的图片展示,一目了然,学生能够看得清楚,对学习英语也产生了浓厚的兴趣,对所学知识就记得牢固,同时也培养了学生的
