I want to call you, but my phone isnt working, so Im writing to you. Its hot in your country now, isnt it?2、 情感态度和价值观1.教育学生善于观察天气和调整自己的情绪,安排好个人的学习和生活。2.了解世界各地的天气情况和神奇而伟大的自然,树立正确的世界观,立志学好科学知识,为将来探索自然、与国际接轨,打好坚实的基础。3.通过小组活动,培养热爱集体,关爱他人,团结协作的精神。教学重点:1运用所学的词汇来描述天气。2描述在不同的天气情况中人们正在做的事情。3进行阅读训练,提高学生们的阅读能力及获取相关信息的能力,并能仿照写作。教学难点: 1明信片的格式。 2精读短文,掌握文中的关键知识点,培养学生们的写作能力。学情分析:七年级学生对于学习英语既感到好奇又担忧,希望能得到他人的肯定又有一定的畏难情绪。有些学生逐步具备英语功底,但有些学生还处于茫然阶段。因此我在教学活动中尽量让他们有更多的机会来听英语和说英语,锻炼语感并减少他们的恐惧感,并让学生稳扎稳打。通过学生间的小组合作探究学习,降低他们的学习难度,高效完成教学目标,使他们体验到成功的喜悦。同时配以阅读和书面表达训练,提高他们综合运用语言的能力,使各层次的学生都有所收获。教学方法1通过多媒体课件展示,让学生接受新知。.2通过小组合作探究的方式来解决疑难问题、巩固所学知识。3运用讲述法,给同学们讲解知识点,达到预期教学目标。4通过泛读和精读训练来提高阅读能力。课前准备学生练习对话并预习单词和课文,教师准备好多媒体课件和实用教学设计。教学过程I. Warm-up and lead-in1. Warm-up(1) Get Ss to watch a video and talk about the weather. A: Hows the weather? B: Its snowing and cold.(2) Get Ss to watch a second video and tell what they remember. Then look at some pictures and say what they are doing. A: What are they doing? B: They are running.(3) Get Ss to listen to a conversation that two boys are making a telephone. Then ask some students to write some sentences on the back blackboard. Ask the others to talk about the weather and the things that the persons are doing in the picture. A: Hows the weather? B: Its sunny. A: What are they doing? B: They are taking a walk.2. Lead-inLead Ss into new words by showing the pictures.Toronto is in Canada. Boston and Moscow are in Europe. II. Presentation1. Learning aimsIntroduce the learning aims to Ss. Get them to read after the teacher.(1) visit, Canada, summer, sit, juice, soon, vacation, hard, Europe, mountain, country, on (a) vacation.(2) Im having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.I want to call you, but my phone isnt working, so Im writing to you.Its hot in your country now, isnt it?2. LearningShow some pictures on the big screen to present some of the new words in the postcards in 2b.visit v. 拜访 summer n. 夏天 Canada n. 加拿大 juice n. 果汁sit v. 坐 mountain n. 高山 Europe n. 欧洲 country n. 国家soon adv. 不久 hard adv.& adj. 努力地,困难的 on a vacation 度假Teach Ss the new words. Then let Ss read. Give Ss some time to understand and remember the new words and expressions. Ask some students to write the new words and expressions on the blackboard, the others write in their exercise book.3. Before reading Get Ss to talk about the pictures in 2a. Hows the weather? What are the people doing? Where are they? A: Hows the weather? B: Its sunny and warm.A: Whats the girl doing?B: Shes sitting by the pool and drinking some juice. A: Hows the weather?B: Its cloudy and cool.A: What are they doing?B: They are walking in the mountains. A: Hows the weather?B: Its raining.A: What is she doing?B: Shes writing a letter in her room.4. ListeningIntroduce the postcards in 2b. Play the tape, let Ss listen carefully. Then ask Ss to match each postcard with the correct picture in 2a. Then check the answers. Are you studying hard To Janeor are you having fun?Dave5. Careful readingLet Ss read the postcards by themselves and work in groups to solve some problems. Tell them to ask the teammates or the teacher for help if they have any difficulties. 6. After reading Ask Ss to read aloud, translate the passages and fill in the chart in 2c. Then check the answers with the class. Yes, they are.Its cool and cloudy.Its hot. IV. Explanation1. Im having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada. have a great time doing sth. 意为“做某事过得愉快”。例如: We have a great time singing and dancing. 我们唱歌、跳舞过得很高兴。2. Im sitting by the pool and drinking orange juice. 1) sit 动词,意为“坐”,是不及物动词。如表达“坐在某地”就用介词短语来表达地点。例如: Please sit on the chair and have some tea. 请坐在椅子上喝杯茶。2) by 意为“在旁边”,它所表示的位置比 near 更近一些。例如: All the children are sitting by the table. 所有的孩子们都坐在桌子旁边。 Do you live near your school? 你家住在学校附近吗?3. I want to call you but my phone isnt working, work 在这里是不及物动词,意为“(机器)运转;活动”。 例如: My watch doesnt work. 我的手表坏了。 4. Its hot in your country now, isnt it? 此句是一个陈述内容之后附加了一个简短的疑问部分,来对陈述的内容进行确认。这样的结构称作“附加疑问句”或“反意疑问句”。例如:You know her, dont you? 你认识她,不是吗? Lucy and Bob wont come, will they? 露西和鲍勃不会来,是不是?V.
