Students can understand the expression of ordinal words and the date of holiday.2. Ability objectives: Students can grasp the ordinal words (pronunciations, forms,meanings,written ). Students can speak them out fluently and use in the daily life naturally. 3. Emotional objectives: Students can understand the differences of expressing holidays or festivals between China and foreign countries.二 Key points and difficult pointsKey points: review the ordinal words and sentences Ss can speak the date of holidayDifficult points: the pronunciation of ordinal words, especially “th” , first ,second,third, numbers +th三 Teaching tools Word cards, pictures, multiple player. 四 Teaching methodsBody language , cooperative communication, situational approach. Role-play 五 Teaching procedures: 1. Warm- up 1) Introduce myself to students, say hello to everyone 2.Lead in/Revision 1) Play a game :word match Teacher introduces a friend - Tom, today is a special day, but Tom cant find his mother, so Ss need to help him. 2) Ss get a gift from Tom, and guess the special day(April Fools Day) 3.Presentation1)Teaching the words “first” T asks the Ss “When is April Fools Day? “Ss :Its on _ Teacher will write the words”first”“1st”on the blackboardPractice: drive the car 2)Teacher use the same way to teach “second”, ”third”, ”fourth”, ”fifth”.Practice: high voice and low voice Read in different position. Boys VS girls Raising and falling voice3) Practice: Lets read(quick read) Lets spell(Ss work in groups, spell the new words) 4) Lets listen(listen to the tape, Ss read after the tape, Ss read together ) 5) Lets talk(Ss talk one by one)六Extension Ss enjoy the cultures between western and eastern countries.
