A Brief Instruction to the Topic of “Dont smoke, please!”Part 1 Teaching material analysisThis lesson is at the fourth period of the first module and the modules topic is “Stay Healthy”. Before this lesson, students have learned some expressions about going to see the doctor and food groups. This section aims to make students be able to know the harm of smoking and stay away from cigarettes. They need to learn more vocabulary related to smoking. This topic has a close relationship with peoples daily life so that students can be very interested. After learning this lesson, students can be able to say no to cigarettes and give suggestions to give up smoking. In addition, it helps students to improve their listening together with speaking abilities and cultivate their competence of Autonomous Learning and Cooperative Learning.Part 2 Teaching aimsBy the end of the class, students should be able to:1. Use new words and phrases to make sentences and understand the meaning of the text.2. Talk about the harm of smoking, and give smokers advice to stop smoking.3. Read and find the information they need, learn to solve problems by themselves and work with others in harmony.4. Stay away from cigarettes and learn to live a long, healthy and happy life.5. During these tasks, students should be able to use and communicate with these expressions in daily life. There are different types.The depth is different. If the procedure is carried successfully, students will be likely to get the point of this lesson. Students can exchange their ideas with each other and find a resolution to their problem. The right answer is not given by teacher but their teamwork. When they facing a problem, the important thing that the teacher needs to do is giving a hint other than giving an answer.Part 6 Teaching aidsslide show,tape recorder and blackboardPart 7 Teaching procedureStep 1 Lead-inThe purpose is to get ready for the new class. Some of the pictures will arouse students interest.Greet students and get them ready for the new class. Then show pictures to lead in and learn new words and new phrases. Show a picture of a star who was punished because of smoking in public.Step 2 Listening The purpose is to develop the skill of listening to get specific information.Listen and write true or false.1.
