passage gives some detailed information about a day s activities of Wu Yifan and his family in the form of a diary Students have learned verbs in simple past tense and have learned related words phrases as well as sentence patterns on how to describe past events such as rode a bike ate fresh food ect In this period students are required to simply describe one day events by using what they learned In other word this lesson serves as a consolidation for the previous periods Part 2 Analysis of the Students 1 Cognitive psychology Students in my class are less competent in the study of English Besides they are shy and reluctant to open their mouth In this regard the teacher s guidance and encouragement are very important Students also need to feel part of a peer group In this case some sort of group work is needed Hopefully those high ability students can offer to those weak students 2 Knowledge basis Students of high ability have a vocabulary of about 600 words which will
