本科生毕业论文(设计)文献综述Differentiating English teaching have been implemented for many years in the united states, which can improve the efficiency of English classroom. As early as 200 years ago, Confucius have concentrated on individualized teaching. Therefore, Respecting the individual difference of students has become a good and effective method in English language teaching.As entering the 21 st century, more and more educators begin to concern how to use the method of the differentiating English teaching to improve the efficiency of English classroom. In recent years, the investigations of differentiating English teaching concern on the investigation and discussion of theory and the requirement to the teacher, but it does not refer more to the vivid implemented principles of individual teaching. Ji Runkai, the professor of Dongbei Normal University, about the thought of different teaching , the book mainly refers to the requirement to the teacher in differentiating English teaching. In this thesis, the author think that teachers should follow those principles. Firstly, teachers should try their best to change the current situation of education. Secondly, teachers should respect the individual difference of students. Thirdly, teachers should improve the quality of teaching English.Hua guodong, the investigator of the central institute of education science, writing a book, the theory of difference teaching. In this book, he firstly present an idea that differentiating English teaching should be adopted widely in English classroom, according with the current situation where our country education, the different requirements of students have been neglected for a long term. In this book, the writer define the difference teaching. It is an teaching method that teachers should make respecting the individual difference as the premise, then students make progress on the basis of before English level.In addition, the definitions of differentiating English teaching are basically consistent. Those all emphasis on respecting the individual difference of students, requiring students with different standards and making students fully develop. Differentiating English teaching , an positivistic attitude, on the basis that it does not neglect the objective fact that students are all different, will make the difference between students an the available resources to develop.In my thesis, it also refers to the book, a cause in English language teaching. In the unit 16 of this book, it mainly introduce learner differences and learner training. It introduce different people have different learning styles. In this unit, the author gives a list of eight different types of learners. There are visual learners, auditory learners, tactile learners, kinesthetic learners, group learners, individual learners, authority oriented learners and reflective learners. Clearly lessons which focus solely on the written word with little visual support will disadvantage some learners and lessons focus solely on individual work will disadvantage those who prefer learning in groups.This paper adopts the differentiating English teaching in order to improve the different students English level. Differentiating English teaching can view students according to their abilities, cultivate the students sense of competition, raise the students ambition, excavate students potential, making the students to their full developments.Although the individual students varied tremendously from each other in their strategy use, they shared some special characteristics in selecting learning strategies for their English learning. As all of them learn English as a foreign language in the Chinese context, they used LLS at medium frequency. They showed high use of affective strategies, but low use of social strategies. Their general patterns of strategy use indicate that they preferred the learning strategies related to examination preparations, analysis of grammatical rules and linguistic details, repetition, review and respect for teachers authority, but ignored the learning strategies leading to the improvement of communicative competence. The findings presented, organized in terms of overall strategy, strategy categories and individual strategies, are descriptive in nature. They provided the basis for a deeper analysis in regard to the influences of various factors on the students strategy use. Respecting the individual difference of students and using different teaching strategies can enhance the efficiency of English learning of junior middle school.
