FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 6 General Operation 1 Overview This section describes safety precautions during machine operation installation and running testing 2 Safety Requirements 2 1 Safety Rules Obey safe production rules of the machine manufacturer as well as the plant Keep the work areas clean and tidy Check the machine before starting up to make sure all protective devices are available and safety switches are in normal condition Wear right uniform and prepare all necessary articles for example gloves are needed while installing checking and changing blade Tie up hair and uniform or they may be caught by the running machine Check if the machine is damaged or any component is worn and torn The machine should be repaired or maintained by professional personal Never touch the running parts with your hand or tools The power supply should be cut while repairing and take keys at anytime Read the relevant materials provided by the manufacturer and prepare the relevant medications for leak accidents Keep other persons away from the work areas when start up or switch off the machine 2 2 Safe Operation Requirements To assure safety and correctness while operating the following basic requirements should be kept Read this manual and make sure you understand all contents The operation manual introduces safe and correct operations and uses bold characters where necessary for warning Do read and understand the contents and never attempt to try any operations which are not introduced in this manual Our company won t assume any liability for any injury or loss arising from operation not in line with this manual FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 7 Only those persons who receive special trainings and are qualified can operate the machine Only trained and qualified persons can operate the machine They must be approved by safety supervisors of your company and strictly observe relevant rules and regulations Particularly the operators must go through official electric safety review proceedings before maintaining and operating relevant electric equipment Inexperienced personnel are not allowed to operate Carefully keep this operation manual Some person should be appointed to keep this manual which should be placed closely to the machine for convenient use If lost or ruined please provide us with the machine model and contract number and we will provide you another manual at a reasonable price Very clear about the emergency stop button All persons must know where the emergency stop button is and how to use it in case of hazard When hazard does happen anybody can press the emergency stop button If you have any question please do not hesitate to contact us FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 8 2 3 Safety Signs This manual gives the following safety signs to warn notice or alarm Special attention should be paid to those places which have the following signs Keep all the signed mark in mind all time Dangerous area Death may happen if ignored It indicates potential hazards areas Serious injury may happen if ignored It indicates areas of the machine with potential hazards Injury as well as property loss may happen if ignored Danger Warning Attention FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 9 2 4 Preconditions for Work Safety 2 4 1 Requirements on machine installation site Free from direct sunshine or other heat sources or the machine may be partially heated up Keep the machine away from any other machine that may splash water or oil The machine should not be placed in foul environment with too much dust fog salt acid or alkali There must be sufficient space for maintenance For instance space for door opening and closing anilox roller replacing and other devices There should be sufficient space for paperboard feeding and out after printing The foundation must be sufficiently strong and with high accuracy of installation and won t incline or sink Suitable working environment air temperature 0 40 C humidity 0 60 2 4 2 Requirements on installation and transportation Use suitable hoister or crane to load and unload the machine Use suitable steel cables and hoisting tools to hoist and install the machine Only qualified persons are allowed to operate the hoister or cranes 2 4 3 Power supply and earthing requirements Observe the electric rules and regulations of your company Only qualified electric staffs are allowed to make connections Stable voltage and current are required It depends on the configuration Please refer to the Electrical Manual For different configuration the current will be different Details please see the name plate on the electric cabinet Voltage applicable voltage 380V 5 frequency 50Hz 5 3 phase and 5 wires Keep it away from the source of interference like welding machine Never share earth lead with any source of interference like welding machine Earthing resistance should be less than 100 and earth lead should be 14mm 2 4 4 Requirements on cooling lubricant Mixed lubricant not allowed to use FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 10 Add sufficient lubricant before starting up the machine after a long term of stop such as a long holiday 2 4 5 Ambient Requirements Clean aisles machine inside and platform Or the sundries may affect operation and maintenance of the machine No water or oil on the floor Sufficient lighting in the working areas Foreign matters should be prevented from falling onto the moving parts or they may damage the machine while moving Water supply and drainage facilities beside the machine for ink washing 2 4 6 Requirements on operator clothes Do not wear gloves necklaces watches or loose clothes or the machine may catch and injure you Operators with long hair should tie up hair and put it into the safety helmet or may be rolled Buckle clothes fasteners or maybe be caught Never operate the machine after drinking 2 4 7 Safety management system Appoint authorized persons to keep operation manual Place operation manual in a place easy to find Appoint a administrator to guide the production FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 11 2 5 Machine Dangerous Point To assure safe operation this machine is equipped with some protective devices However hazard may still happen if the machine runs in an abnormal state or the operators run the machine against rules Therefore attention should be paid to the followings 2 5 1 Electric appliance installation areas General power supply control panel control panels on each units motors and transformers are all dangerous for high voltage power inside Only professional electric engineers are allowed to touch their interior parts in maintenance or persons may be serious injured Don t touch buttons or switches with wet or dirty hands or it may result in injury 2 5 2 Movable parts and high speed feeding parts The machine has a variety of motors and movable parts driven by the motors as well as high speed feeding parts Keep away from these parts when the machine runs and make sure the machine stops moving if it is necessary to enter these areas for maintenance or other purposes Or injury may happen 2 5 3 Safety protective devices Don t move any safety protective devices such as self locking device limited switch etc Or injury may happen Before operating maintainers should check all safety devices and make sure they are in good condition Danger Warning Danger Warning Attention FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 12 2 6 General Rules for Work Safety Main motor main console control panels motors and transformers all have high voltage power inside unexperienced personel shouold not open and touch the wire Do not move or change any panel button or protective gate without prior approval Don t touch any button with wet or dirty hands Repeatedly check the buttons and conduct correct operations Let each staff know where the emergency stop button is and know its functions as well Keep the floor and platform free from water and oil Keep the aisle and platform clean and free from unnecessary articles Don t touch water or ink with naked hands or let your eyes or mouth stained with water or ink Do not operate the machine with gloves except taking tools or paperboards or cleaning the machine Use the same brand lubricating oil Change the spare parts with the same brand When power is off turn off the master switch of power supply and the machine Paperboard piling place the paperboards by sort at the place where it is not easy to collapse Pile the paperboards uprightly or they may collapse Do not remove the warning board no stain and rust Danger Warning Attention FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 13 2 7 Installation Start up Safety Direction Check the power cables before turning on the power supply for protection against leakage or unstable voltage and report to the supervisor immediately if cables are damaged or not connected properly Switch on the power supply according to the following steps turn on the power switch of the whole plant turn on the master power switch of the machine Turn off the power supply according to the following steps turn off the power switch of the machine turn off the power switch of the whole plant Close the electric control cabinet door to prevent water cardboard pieces or dust from entering Power line and control line should not intercross each other Make sure the protective devices are in good condition and not damaged Inspect the followings when gas power and water supply facilities are installed Gas pressure is normal Motors and gears run without any abnormal noise Make regular inspections according to this manual Danger Warning Attention FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 14 2 8 Machine Safety Operation Directions Do not remove the safety devices and do not expose the high voltage connections Do not remove the limit switch or self locking device for temporary convenience Keep away from the movable and high speed feeding areas when the machine runs Do not touch the running parts directly or indirectly Do not press the buttons on the control panel with gloves When clean the scrap from the machine wear gloves and use brushes Naked hands are not allowed Make sure that there is nobody or nothing prevent the machine from running Do not continue to operate the machine before the cause is found out when the machine stops moving abruptly during automatic running Do not open any door or cap when the machine runs Do not leave any tool or measuring instrument on the control table or cases during operation Do not touch any button or switch when the machine runs automatically Attention should be paid to prevent operators from being engulfed into the machine a Tie up hair and wear safety helmet b Tie up trousers edges and never approach the machine when wear skirt When any problem is found stop the machine and report to the supervisor immediately Stop all machine actions and turn off the master power switch while cleaning the machine except while eliminating ink Danger Warnin g Warnin g FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 15 2 9 Safety Maintenance To prevent other workers from turning on any switch or contact any button on the control panels by mistake please hang a warning board in a conspicuous place close to the operating point saying Machine in Maintenance Not Touch Turn off the master power switch before maintaining and repairing Never move the limited switch without prior approval of our company Only qualified electric engineers are allowed to maintain the electric components Wear protective shoes and safety helmets when maintain the machine from a high place Close the machine cover after maintaining Clean the working area remove the blocks from the aisles or floors eliminate water and oil on the ground and keep a safe working environment after maintenance Conduct maintenance according to this operating manual and contact our company if you have any question Check maintenance work together with the supervisor Record the contents and results of the maintenance work and give the records to the supervisor Keep the records for a reasonable period of time 2 10 Safety Inspection Items Check if all electric control switches valves or buttons are in normal condition Check the tension of the transmission belts Check if the feeding rolls printing rolls and anilox rolls are in normal condition Check if the ink circuit system is blocked or damaged or contains any impurity Check if the air compressor and cylinder are in good condition Check if the machine contains any excessive thing Danger Attention FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 16 2 11 Safety Warning Sign There are safety warning signs in those places where danger may happen So we must keep those warnings always in mind during the machine running maintaining repairing and stopping 2 12 Other Things to Be Noticed Machine noise Noise will be produced while machine running for some fans are adopted in vacuum transfer and dust removal system To protect the operator s health they are suggested to wear earplug or take other measures Machine radiation Our machine will not produce radiation The signal is prevented from interfering other machines But our suggestion is that the machine should be kept away from those machines with radiation interference Machine dust Machine itself will not produce dust But for the paperboard storage and other reasons there will be dust on the paperboard surface Some dust will float in the air even dust removal facility is adopted So the workers are required to wear respirator and nose cup or take other measures FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 17 3 Machine Brief Introduction This equipment is only for multi color printing slotting and die cutting of corrugated paperboards with high precision easy and convenient control Following are the introductions 3 1Machine Function This machine is made for corrugated paperboard gluing counting and stacking With high precision it s easy be controlled and operated 3 2 Machine Advantages This machine is one of the flex folder Combined structure visual control panel PLC touch screen with multifunctional control 999 orders can be saved Automatic zero returning and reset Easy to repair and maintain 3 3 Different Machine Part Function Folder unit Glue the paperboard into a carton Counter then underlay the steel sheets and set the screws 5 2 3 When the rails are paved they should be adjusted according to the following steps FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 20 The distance between the rails should be adjusted according to the drawings The height of rails on both sides should be measured with gradienter Choose the rail on one side which has the highest point and adjust them onto the same level Adjust another rail to the same level with the adjusted rail When the rails are all adjusted set the expanded bolts Check to see if the distance between rails conforms to the requirements of the drawings and check to see if the rails on both sides are on the same level When any non conformity is found adjustment should be made again until to meet the requirement 5 3 Installation of the Machine 5 3 1 Before installation of the machine check and make sure that the rails are installed properly the set bolts are fastened and that there is no articles on the rails 5 3 2 Check the hoisting tools and hoisting machine to make sure they are the same weight as the units unit size and weight please see attachment of this chapter 5 3 3 It s forbidden use the hoist that the unit weight over its lifting capacity and any improper lifting tools It s forbidden hoist machine by improper way DF will not be responsible for any machine damage because of the operation deviating from these instructions 5 3 4 Hoisting tools should be operated by qualified person 5 3 4 For Folder section installation it should install the feeding side frame the middle moving mechanism and paperboard out mechanism at the back side according to the foundation drawings At last install the beam 5 3 5 When install the counter and ejector section the running wheels with protruding edges should engage with the rail slots and the running wheels on the other side should engage with the guide plates Then lower down the machine onto the rails and the protruding edges of the wheels fall into the guide slots completely Push the machine slowly and it can be moved on the guide tracks 5 3 6 When all units are installed on the rails qualified electric engineers should connect power supply and electric parts according to the relevant requirements 5 3 7 Resources that this machine also needs compressed air Compressed air pipelines should be connected when the machine is installed and check to make sure there is no air leak 5 4 Dismounting of the Machine For some reason the machine may be moved form this place to another and so it must be dismounted First you must disconnect the power supply and crane the units away from the rail It should dismount the beam first when hoist the folder section The counter and ejector section should be placed on a special transporting rack for it has running wheels So the wheels will hang in the air and accidents can be avoided FFG 2000 2400 2800 OPERATION MANUAL 21 during transportation Each unit should choose suitable conveyance and the carrying ability should be much more than the unit itself The weight of each unit see attachment of this chapter please 5 5 Test of the Whole Machine 5 5 1 Before testing conduct inspection in accordance with the general safety requirements of this manual and the safety requirements of all units and make sure safety is assured before testing 5 5 2 When the machine is connected with power and compressed air make inspection to make sure the power and compressed air supplies are connected in accordance with the relevant requirements 5 5 3 Before the machine runs it must make sure no foreign matters in the machine no impurities between the gears checking if the belt tension is proper and if the stroke switch and the protective switch work properly Make sure everything is Ok before starting up the machine for testing 5 7
