Unit4 Why dont you talk to your parents?第1课时 Section A 3a (一)教学目标 一、知识与技能 1. 掌握下列词汇:get on with, relation,communication,argue,cloud,elder,instead, whatever,nervous,offer,proper,secondly,explain,clear,copy,return,anymore 2. 通过阅读这封信,我们学会遇到问题要主动地去和家人,朋友,同学交流。3. 复习巩固对询问困难及提出建议的句型,掌握其规则。4. 通过不同方式的练习,来熟练运用询问及提建议的表达方式。二、教学重点1.掌握文中出现的重点单词,词组和句型2.培养学生的阅读能力二、过程与方法 发现法、总结法、小组交流、合作法。 三、情感态度与价值观 人的一生并不都是一帆风顺的,难免有一些挫折和困难,如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,我们要学会冷静对待,学会用合理的办法去理性地解决。(二)教学过程Step1 GreetingsGreet the class as usual.Step 2 Revision Do some exercise1. 你看上去很疲劳,怎么了? Relations between my parents have become difficult.relation n. 关系;联系;交往e.g. Their relation seemed quite close. 他们的关系看起来很亲密。3.Its the only communication they have.这是他们仅有的沟通。communication n .交流 communicate v.交流proper communication适当的沟通communicate with sb和某人交流沟通eg:If you want to have better communication with your friend, you should communicate with them often. 4.When they argue, its like a big, black cloud hanging over our home.当他们争吵的时候,就像有一大团乌云笼罩在我们家。argue 争吵 argument n 争论 have an argument with sb.= argue with sb. 与某人争吵eg :It isnt a good way to argue with others to solve a problem.argue with sb. about sth 为某事与某人争吵argue about sth 争论某事e.g. The couple began to argue about the childs education.那对夫妇开始就孩子的教育问题争吵。hang over 挂在.之上 hang out 闲逛5. Also, my elder brother is not very nice to me. elder用来表示兄弟姐妹及子女之间的长幼关系,年纪较长的 年龄长幼,常用作定语older 较老的,泛指新旧、老幼或年龄的大小关系,可以做定语或表语,是old的比较级形式,可指人,也可指物 eg:My elder brother is 1 year older than me. be nice to sb. 对某人友好 = be friendly to sb = be good to sb. 6. He always refuses to let me watch my favorite TV show. 他总是拒绝让我看我最喜欢的电视节目refuse to do sth拒绝去做refuse =say no to v拒绝The boy refused _(go) to see his father with us.7.Instead he watches whatever he wants until late at night. 相反,他却想看什么酒看什么, 一直到深夜1) instead adv. 代替;反而;常放在句首或句尾,表示前面的事情没做e.g. If we cant go to Huashan Mountain,well go to the city of Xian for the trip instead. 如果我们不能去爬华山,我们就去西安游玩。 2)instead of +n/doing 代替,而不是,放在句中Health is very important to us. Secondly,why dont you sit down and communicate with your brother?其次,你为什么不能坐下来和你的哥哥交流一下呢?secondly adv. 第二;其次辨析: second和secondlysecond用作序数词或形容词, 意为“第二”,常修饰名词。 secondly是副词,意为“其次,第二”,常用来修饰整个句子。如:First, its very expensive. Secondly, its ugly. 首先,它很贵。其次,它很难看 。The second day of a week is Monday. 一周的第二天是星期一。10.You should explain that you dont mind him watching TV all the time. 1)explain v. 解释;说明explain + that / what/ why等从句explain sth. (to sb.)(向某人)解释某事eg:Can you explain to me how to do this math problem? 2)mind sb/sbs doing sth 介意某人做某事I dont you smoking here。3)all the time 一直11.I hope things will be better for you soon,我希望事情将会很快好转。 hope that从句 hope to do sth wish that 从句 wish to do sth wish sb to do sth Step6 Exercise一选词填空instead argue nervous proper explain1. Step 7 Conclusion Ask the students to work in groups and try to conclude the rules of giving advice. 除情态动词should,shouldnt“(不)应该”,could“可以”常用来提出请求和建议之外。 表建议的句型还有:(1)What about doing sth ?=How about doing sth? .怎么样?(2)Why dont you do sth?= Why not do sth? 为什么不呢?(3)Lets do sth.让我们一起做某事吧。 (4)Shall we/I do sth?我们做好吗?(5)had better do/not do sth 最好做/不做某事(6) Will/Would you please do sth 请你做好吗?(7) Would you like to do sth? 你想去做某事吗?(8)Would you mind doing sth?你介意做某事吗?(9)Youshould/could+v.(10)Couldyouplease+v?【回答】(1). 同意对方的建议时,一般用:Good idea./ Thats good idea. 好主意 OK/ All right./ Great 好/ 行/太好了Yes, please ./ Id love to 是的/ 我愿意 I agree with you 我同意你的看法No proble
