Section ATeaching aims and demands:Be able to ask and answer using the target language Learn to care about your families and when their birthday comes ,you should show your love with a small present .Teaching Procedures :Step 1 Greeting and Leading Says, lovely girls and boys ,nice to meet you today ,Im glad to have an English class for you ,I hope you will like me and my class . Firstly, listen to an English song ,after you listen ,please tell me the name of the song .play the recording and then ask students what they heard .Write “birthday “on the blackboard .Says, today lets talk about our own birthdays and asking others birthdays .write “when is your birthday ? Section A on the blackboard .Step 2 Months of the year Says, there are twelve months in a year ,our birthdays are in one of the months, well! Lets listen and read the words about months in 1a . Help if students have trouble in pronunciation .Encourage students to read to the class :who would be the bravest person ? then play cards game :show the cards to the students and get SOME students to look for their months and put up .lastly, guide students to watch the importance :big letter ,3 letters .Step 2 New target language Show the pictures to the students questions :1 who is this ? 2 To know the meaning 3 solve the new words ,4 lead the dialogue ,5 Encourage students to act as stars AND recite the dialogue :who is the 记忆达人 ? 6 the ways of the dates .Step 3 New words Says ,look at 2a and play the recording and ask students to listen , important :1st 2nd 3rd ,4th Pronunciation th Step 4 Pairwork in groups Divide students into 6 teams ,let them write their birthdays and help each other ,act: when is your birthday ?My birthday is students which team AND development the target language : When is his/her birthday ? let a student use cards show her or his birthday 奖励获胜者Step 5 exercises : 1 when is your sisters birthday ? _ sisters birthday is _ .(6,12 )2 when is your brothers birthday ?_ birthday is _ .(10,20)Step 5 Development1 Children”s day is _ National day is _ Chrismas day is _ 2 Show an ID card to the class :ask students to think and work in pairs .
