Section A 3a -3c 河间市第八中学 王彦苓一Teaching aims(1) 学习掌握下列词汇:get on with; relation, communication, argue, cloud, elder, instead, whatever, nervous, offer, proper, secondly, communication, explain, clear (2)阅读短文,能按要求找到相应的信息。(3)通过阅读提高学生们的阅读能力。掌握阅读策略:Skimming(跳读),Guessing the meaning(猜测词义) , Careful reading(细读) and Scanning(扫读) for details (细节)(4) 如果生活中发生了一些不尽如人意的问题,应当如何面对并理性地去解决。二教学重点和难点: 1. 教学重点:(1) 、掌握本部分出现的生词和词组,达到熟练运用的目标。(2) 、阅读短文,获得相关的信息。通过阅读练习,来提高阅读能力。2 、教学难点:(1)、 阅读短文,获得相关的信息的能力。(2) 、 总结询问问题和提出建议的句型,掌握规则。 3) 练习运用所学的句型。三Teaching stepsStep1.Warming up and ReviewT : Hello, everyone! I am your new English teacher today .We will have an interesting English class together. How are you today? I am not fine today. Because I cant sleep well. Could you give me some advice ? You can say “Why dont you .? Why not ? or You should (Let students answer)”T: Do you have any problems in your daily life ? What are they ? Lets say as many as problems as we can .You can choose one problem to give advice. And you can also make conversations with your partner. (Show the picture about problems)Ss :I have too much homework.Step2. Tell students about learning aimsToday we will go on learning Unit4 Section A 3a-3c.Read the learning aims .You can read them carefully. We can learn some reading skills.Step3. New wordsLets learn some new words. Step4.Lead in Answer my questions Are the relations between your parents good? Do you have any brothers or sisters? Can you get on well with him/her?Who do you ask for help when you have problems?(Let students answer the questions)Here is a boy named Sad and Thirteen. What can you get from the name “Sad and Thirteen”? Why is he so sad? Look at the picture ,What are his parents doing ? Maybe they are fighting.Sad and Thirteen has so many problems. What should he do? Open your books, turn Page27.Step5.Fast ReadingTask1 Skimming Read the article quickly and answer the questions. (You dont need to read word by word, learn to skim.)Step6 Careful Reading Task2 Read the first letter carefully and fill in the chart.What problems does the boy have ? Find out the problems and write down your answers.(Careful reading and scanning for details)Read the second letter carefully and fill in the chart .Mr. Hunt gives him some advice .Find out the advice . (We must pay attention to the sentence patterns)Step7 Guessing the meaningTask3 Reading skill :while reading, if we dont know any words, we can use the context to help you guess the meaning.
