Procedures and methods: help students learn how to use the reading strategies in the reading comprehension, such as prediction, skimming, scanning, and guessing the meaning of the words from the context help students get the main idea of the text by the mind map.3. (Reading strategy: The first sentence of each paragraph can be helpful for you to understand a text.)Para. 1 A. One of the most famous tricks played.Para. 2 B. Two funny stories that happened on April Fools Day. Para. 3C. An introduction to April Fools Day.Para. 4 D. A sad story that happened on April Fools DayTASK2 Careful reading1.Read Para 1 1. Where does April Fools Day take place?2. What do people usually do on April Fools Day ? Purpose: Learn something about April Fools Day and its culture.2.Read Para 2(1)Read and chooseStory1_Story2_ A. Spaghetti B. Special water (2) Read Story1 answer the questions. 1.What did the reporter in England announce?2.What did people do after they heard the news?3.Whats the result of the story?
