Because theyreWhere are they from?Theyre from2. 能力目标Ability Objectives:(1) Learn to describe animals and express feelings about them and give reasons.(2) Develop students listening and speaking skills.3. 情感目标moral objects:(1)Cultivate students love for animals.(2)Learn to share feelings with classmates and try to build a good relationship with each other.教学重难点重点:Enable students to learn how to describe animals.难点:Enable students to speak the target language fluently, because there are 19 new words and most of the new words are too long and difficult. 教学方法1. Listening and speaking practice;2 .Autonomous and cooperative approach.课前准备白板、PPT 、展台教学过程 设计意图Step 1 Lead- in 1. Play a short video to lead the students into a real zooSeoul Zoo. Let them have a chance to learn foreign culture.2. Have students recall the words about animals in primary school and write them down.(e.g. animals-sheep, monkey, cat, dog, mouse, cow, duck )1、通过播放一段首尔动物园的视频,把学生轻松、愉快地带入英语课堂。选择一家外国动物园是希望让学生多些了解外国文化的机会,从而激发更大的学习热情。2、词汇教学遵行以旧带新、词不离句,循序渐进地进行。在扩大学生的词汇量的同时,也为今天的新课做好了必要的铺垫。Step 2 New words study1. Teach the students some new words about animals by showing the PPT.New words are below.Animal words: tiger-tigers, elephant- elephants, panda- pandas, lion- lions, koala- koalas, cat- cats, giraffegiraffes;Description words: cute, lazy, smart, beautiful, scary; ( kind of)Countries: Australia, south Africa.Add a map of the world and its animal.Asiapanda, golden monkey,Indian elephant,panda, tiger;Africa-lion , elephant、giraffe、Zebra、hippo. 1、充分利用网络资源,直观展示真动物图片来教学6个动物名词、5个形容词和2个表国家的词。引导学生用目标语言描述动物和自己的喜好,做到词不离句,层层递进。2、体现了跨学科意识,在教学动物所属地澳大利亚和南非这2个国家时,让学生在世界地图上找。 因势利导,让学生归纳总结语法知识点-名词的复数形式表示一类事物类,有利于开启思维,体现以学生为中心的教学特点。Step 3 Practice.Practice 1. Match the words1a;Practice 2 . Listen and check 1b;Practice 3. Listen and complete;Practice4.Read the typescripts.Practice5. Pair work.1.单词匹配练习及时检验所学动物名词。2.听第一遍勾选动物名词较基础,学生可轻松做对,树立自信,为下一步听力填空打下基础。3.附加的听力填空由易到难,梯度设置明显,意在让学生一步步听懂并复述出所听内容,同时为下一步的说做好准备。Step 4 Listen and learn ( 2a. 2b )Play the recording the first time, students write in the names of the animals. Play the recording a second time, have students match each animal with an adjective and a country. Play the recording a third time, correct the answers. Then show the tapescripts on the big screen and practice the other two conversations in 2a.2b.Learn more about animals from Asia or Africa and so on.Animals are our friends. How to behave in the zoo?听前不做任何解释,注重培养听的习惯及听力技能;听后一起检测2个听力结果,适当做些解释,目的是引导听力策略;然后让学生听读听力材料,目的是训练目标语言,为学生的说做好必要准备。还特别加了几张不同的世界英文版地图,让学生了解了七大洲的主产动物,也利用网络资源让学生普及动物相关的知识,特别点出由于人类捕杀和其生存环境遭到变化已经致使多种动物灭绝,意在提醒保护动物。探讨出应该怎样保护动物,我们在动物园应该有怎样的行为。Step 5 Practice.Task1.work on 2cTask2. Have some students show us their conversations in pairs.Task3. Have some students report for us.Can you say like this? Do it one by one -I like . Why? And they are from .I dont like . Why? And they are from .Task4.Lets see who is the best? 任务型语言教学倡导“learning by doing”的教育理念,.用任务型教学法,既强化了语言实践的过程,又能提高交际实效性。让学生应用所学句型询问及回答喜爱的动物和原因的目的。检测学生对形容词的掌握,同时锻炼学生的反应能力。设计了一个竞猜游戏,巩固所学的单词和句型。请学生通过听动物声音辨别何种动物,或者通过一学生描述,猜出是何种动物,抑或是让学生模仿动物行为,让学生猜出动物。猜后朗读描述动物的句子,有助于控制局面,不至于课堂氛围过于热烈;同时为下一步的讨论提供素材。Step 6 lead Ss to sum up.Now tell me what we have learnt this lesson. Give us a Summary.We have learnt: I like 动物复数名词. Because theyre描述性的形容词. Theyre from 国家/地名/亚洲/非洲.引导学生回顾、总结、内化。Step 7 Homework1.Recite 2b;2.
