Ss: I often / usually Step 2 Presentation and practice 1Present the phrases: watch videos, go hiking, climb mountains, play the piano1. How about Miss Yang? You can ask Miss Yang: What do you do on the weekend? 2. Ss: What do you do on the weekend? T: I usually watch videos. Teach Ss the word “video”, then the phrase “watch videos”.3. Revise the word “holiday”. 2. There are two long holidays in a year. What are they? Revise the phrases: summer holiday, winter holiday.Step 4 Presentation and practice 2Present the phrases: go shopping, visit grandparents.1) T: What do you do in winter holiday? Ss: I usually / often 2) T: Chinese New Year is in winter holiday. We need new clothes and good food in the New Year. So I usually go shopping before New Year. Teach the phrase “go shopping”.3) T: You usually go to your friends home and see your friends in the New Year, yes or no? Ss: Yes. T: So we can say: We usually visit friends in the New Year. Teach Ss the phrase.4) T: In the New Year, I usually visit my parents too. Teach Ss the phrase: visit parents.5) Present the phrase “visit grandparents” as above too.2.
