Knowledge Objectives: To master the weather words: rainy, snowy, windy, sunny,etc. To grasp the city names: London, Moscow, Sydney,etc. To get to know the sentences: “ Whats the weather like in.?”And “ Its .”ii. Ability Objectives: To master the weather words and sentences above. To talk about the weather conditions in daily life.iii. Moral Objective: To get to know how to describe the weather, and then love the nature.II. Teaching important and difficult points. To get to know the weather words and sentences in this lesson. To talk about the weather with others fluently. To know the weather symbols to understand the weather report.III. Teaching Methods. TPR Teaching Method, Situational Teaching Method, Communicative Teaching Method,Audio-lingual Method.IV. Teaching Procedures.Step 1 ( warm-up)1. Play a song “ How is the weather ?” to lead to the topic of the lesson, that is “weather”.Step 2 ( Revision)Guess: “ Whats the weather like?” to review the weather words: cool, cold, warm, hot.Step 3 (Presentation)1. Teacher shows some pictures to lead to the new weather words: rainy, snowy,etc.2. Teacher asks the students to draw some of the weather symbols to remember the weather words better.3. Play a game: Radish down (萝卜蹲).4. In the similar way, teacher shows a world map to lead to the city names: Sydney, Singapore,etc.5. Teacher gives the students some tasks. Turn to page 28, then play the recording. Then students try to imitate the pronunciation. Practice with your partners to discuss the weather in different places by using the sentences: “Whats the weather like in.?” “-Its .”. To be a weather reporter to describe the weather.eg: Hi! Here is the weather report. Its _ in_ today.5. Moral Education : Love and protect the nature.V. Summary. To learn the weather words and sentence “What is the weather like in.?” To learn about the capitals of some countries.VI. Homework.(1)Listen to and repeat “Lets learn ”.(2)Make sentences using “Its . and .”.(3)Talk about the weathe
