Vocabulary: engineer, computer programmer, scientist, pianist, violinist 2. Reading: I am going to study computer science.Objectives: 1. Instructional objectives1) Students can understand and produce these following words (engineer, computer programmer, scientist, pianist, violinist, etc.) correctly.2) Students are able to improve their listening skill- listening for specific information. 3) Students can use the target language structures to talk about their dream jobs and how to make them come true correctly.2. Educational objectives 1) Students can have an exact goal and have strong motivation to make it.2) Students can be confident to express their ideas to others.3. Personal objectives: I will try to improve my classroom management ability by asking different levels of questions according to my students reactions and giving clear direction throughout the class.Focal points:1. Understand and use the new words and structures correctly.2. Use listening skill to do the listening task.3. Students can express themselves fluently in the interview.Difficult points:Students can express themselves fluently in the interview.Procedures and Time AllotmentStage 1 Warming up and greeting (3 mins)The teacher greets students. To relax the teacher himself and the students, the teacher sings a song with the students. Meanwhile, the topic of the song is related to this class. (Purpose: Create a student-friendly situation to ease students nervousness and motivate students learning interest)Stage 2 pre- listening Step 1 New words presentation and practice (7mins)The teacher presents the new words of this class. To arouse students interest, the teacher take the students in the class as examples.(Purpose: to stimulate students imagination about the topic of job and prepare the students linguistically and thematically, which lowers the difficulty level they may face when listening) Step 2 Finding out the rules of the word formation (2 minutes)Individual work: students observe all the job words. Then they exchange their ideas with their partners to conform their thinking.(Purpose: to help students to remember the words more easily by finding out the rules of word formation.) Stage 3 New structure presentation and practice (13-15mins) Step 1 Substitution drillThe teacher demonstrates how to use the sentence by creating real situation. In this drill, the students only need to use different verbal phrase and meanwhile they get familiar with the target sentence structure.(Purpose: to present the new sentence structures and practice it in a mechanical way ) Stage 4 While-listening (3 mins) Individual work: Students listen to the conversation and fill in the blanks.(Purpose: Students are able to improve their listening skill- listening for specific information.
