1 Teaching Plan 学年 第 1 学期 序号课时2班级教师 周次课型 Reading Writing 日期 主任 签字 单元Unit 3 I like playing badminton 学习 目标 1 To be able to understand the meaning of the reading material with reading strategies scanning skimming and guessing the meaning of unfamiliar words 2 To be able to compare and analyse information 3 To be able to know the words and expressions about daily life and living habits 4 To be able to give some advice on how to keep a healthy lifestyle 教学 重点 1 Get students to know how to keep a healthy lifestyle 2 Help students practice the ability of analysing and solving problems 教学 难点 Help students to understand some important phrases and sentences 教具 PowerPoint presentation slides of pictures of different sports videos of healthy and unhealthy living habits 教 学 环 节 设 计 教学步骤教学过程设计 2 Warming up I Ask students to look at the photos about Amy and Jack and discuss the following questions What is he she like Can you guess what he she likes II Introduce the learning content to the students They are going to read a passage about living habits and different lifestyles Pre reading I Present some new words on the slide Tell students their meanings and pronunciations II Present the following expressions on the slide and ask students to tell which are healthy lifestyle or unhealthy lifestyle have breakfast go jogging often eat popcorn and fast food do outdoor activities 教学 环节 设计 Reading practice 1 I Ask the students to skim the passage on Page 29 and try to answer the following questions What does Amy have for breakfast Does Jack often play sports Give the students some advice about reading skills II Play the tape Ask students to read after the tape and underline the important words and phrases Explain their meanings to students III Ask students to read the form in Activity and then ask them to fill in the form according to their understanding Ask some students to share their answers with others in class 3 Reading practice 2 I Present the three pictures of Lisa Paula and William and then ask students to scan the passage on Page 30 and try to find what problem they have in their life Who doesn t like exercising and doing things outdoors Who doesn t like fruits and vegetables Who has no time to play now II Play the tape Ask students to read after it and underline the important words and phrases Explain their meanings to students III Ask students to read the Suggestions of Activity on Page 30 and then fill in the form to give some suggestions to the three persons 教学 环节 设计 Reading practice 3 I Ask students to read the passage on Page 31 and then answer the following questions How does sleeping help us How many hours of sleep should teenagers get every day II Play the tape Ask students to read after it Present some sentences on the slide and explain their meanings Sleeping is even more important for teenagers It helps them grow taller and stronger III Ask students to read again and find the sentences about the benefit of sleeping IV Ask students to think about their own sleeping and fill in the form of Activity on Page 31 4 Consolidatio n I Divide students into groups and ask everyone in the group to investigate other group members about their sleeping habits After that ask them to make a conclusion or give some advice II Ask students to take part in a group activity Every group writes some problems about their living habits on a piece of paper Then exchange their problems with other groups Every group should write back some advice on how to solve these problems Summary Key vocabulary popcorn hamburger fruit vegetable memory fresh teenager at least outdoor activities have no time to do sth be good for reduce stress lose weight Key sentences Amy usually gets up at 6 30 in the morning He never plays sports or does any outdoor activities I m always too busy at work Homework 1 Ask the students to memorise the phrases and key sentences 2 Ask students to collect more information or picture
