Lets guess. It has two long ears and red eyes. Its white. What is it?Ss：Its a rabbit.T：Do you like it? （展示图片a small rabbit, 同时板书small) Wow, whats in the shoes?Ss：Its a mouse.T:Its smaller than the rabbit.(板书smaller)带读Small, smaller, the mouse is smaller.T: Guess again. It has a long nose, two big ears and a fat body.What is it?Ss：Its an elephant.T:（展示大象图片）Is it smaller than a mouse?Ss：No, its big.T:But there is an animal bigger than it. Look, its a dinosaur.(板书big和bigger，让学生观察big比较级变化与其他形容词的不同之处) 带读Big,bigger,the dinosaur is bigger.用A is .than B./B is .than A.的句型来描述图片。 Teach “bigger/smaller”.领读、拼读，学生快速地依次地读词。2、Learn “stronger”T：Whats the boy like?(图片展示a strong boy)Ss：Hes strong.T：(板书strong)Whats the man like?（图片展示a stronger man) Ss：Hes strong,too.T:Hes stronger than the boy.(板书stronger)带读Stronger, stronger, the man is stronger.T: Do you know him?Ss：Yes, he is Huitailang. He is strong.T:Look at the boy. Hes ill. Hes weaker than Huitailang. (板书weaker，提示weaker的发音）用A is .than B./B is .than A.的句型来描述图片。3、Learn “heavier /thinner ”.T：Dog is my favourite animal. The brown dog is thin.The black dog is thinner.(板书thin, thinner)带读句子Thin，thinner，the black dog is thinner.T：Its a pig. Its fat.Its heavy.(用搬桌子的动作来展示heavy的意思，板书heavy)But the elephant is heavier than the pig.带读句子Heavy，heavier，the elephant is heavier.领读heavier，拼读、齐读、个别检查读，有重点地提问接受能力相对弱的学生，帮助他们掌握发音。用A is .than B./B is .than A.的句型来描述图片。4、Play a game给每排第一个学生一张纸条，上面是之前带读的长句子，以传声筒方式传给最后一名学生，最后一个学生快速准确地说出句子的小组胜。然后各小组交换句子，来巩固练习所学单词和句子。5、对话教学(1)播放Lets learn 部分flash.John: How heavy are you，Jim?Jim : I am 52 kilograms.John: You are heavier than me.Jim : How heavy are you?John : I am 46 kilograms. Im thinner than you. (2)听本课的对话录音，然后全班跟读、分角色跟读，个别跟读。Step3:巩固与拓展（Consolidation & Extension）Pair-work 学生两人一组练习并表演对话。Step4: 课堂检测与总结 （Exercise & summary）1、Lets write：打乱每个单词的字母，请学生根据所提供的字母，写出今天所学词汇，看谁写得快？2、小结：单词变身。请学生到黑板前分别写出五个比较级单词的原形，如biggerbig。3、为单词找家：画三个小房屋，屋顶分别写上“+er”“ 改y变i+er ”“双写尾字母+er”,请学生自己归类，然后展示归类结果。Step5 :家庭作业（Homework）1、抄写五个形容词的原形和比较级五遍。例如：bigbigger2、观察自己的生活环境，用今天所学的五个单词和句型造句，写下来读给家人听一听。句型：“_ am/is/are _ than _.”板书：Unit 1 How tall are youB Lets learn
