All the activities are carried out around the topic of “Life Goals”. The first period serves as an introduction and lead-in part. During this part the goal was introduced and the main topic of this unit was also presented, just like a warming up it plays, it is acceptable to review what they have learnt in Grade Seven and to transfer to the new language.The materials in talking are mostly from the recent real life and are familiar to the students.Studentslearnng Analysis: Students have learnt that we can use Present Continues to express Future in Unit Three. It is easy for them to learn how to express Future Intentions with be going to,and they also have known some jobs in Grade Seven. But it is difficult for them to express how to do that.Teaching Goals(教学目标)Language Goals: 1. To master the key words and expressions:professional basketball player, computer programmer, pilot, engineer, grow up, take acting lessons, study computer science2. To master the structures and the target language: What are you going to be when you grow up? - I am going to be a /an +职名 How are you going to do that? - I am going to +V.原be(am/is/are) + going to +V-原 Ability Goals: 1. Train studentslistening skills. 2. Train studentscommunication skills with the target language. 3. To train their ability of teamwork.Moral Goals: Every trade has its leader! A good plan is a good start to success. Teaching Focus(重点分析) 1. Some pieces of paper with the key words and expressionsTeaching Procedures(教学过程)Activity Contents(活动内容) Designing Intentions(设计意图)Step 1 Lead-in (Revision) T: What jobs do you know in English?The group which has the most jobsis the winner.Ss: Teamwork 导入:通过小组竞赛导入,根据其好胜心理激发学习兴趣、使学生进入学习语言的情境,唤起学生对梦想的思考。同时也起到复习的作用。T: To show language goals. 让学生明确学习内容Step 2 Presentation 新知识的输入(学中用)利用多媒体展示图片引入新词汇,直观、形象,印象深刻,易记 T: Do you know other new jobs?Ss: Read and the new words. 通过这个环节,学生进一步学习与谈论职业和人生理想相关的新单词及新语言结构,为进一步学习与应用新语言结构做好铺垫。T: What do you think of these jobs?Ss: Free Talk 新知识的内化(用中学)设置问题,与学生谈论他们的理想职业,用以呈现新句型be going to +do,引导学生用be going to谈论自己的理想职业。T:What are you going to be when you grow up ?How are you going to do that?Ss: Chain drillsStep 3 Activities 1. Activity OneT: What are they going to be when they grow up?Lets have a guessing game 通过猜测游戏进一步掌握目标语言,激发其用新知表达的欲望。Ss:Ask and answer in pairs.2. Activity TwoT:What are Tina,Larrygoing to 对本节课所学的词汇和目标语言从听力上进行巩固与强化,达到听力训练目的。be when they grow up ? And how are they going to do that? Match theitems below. Ss: Listen , match and report answers. 3. Activity Three T: Make conversations using the key words and the target language.Ss: Ask and answer in pairs. 加强合作,互相帮助。鼓励学生使用上述新学目标语言进行半开放式操练。 4.
