(Lead them to answer.) 3. Study the prepositions of places.Step.New words1.(show some pictures of buildings on the big screen) Present pictures of buildings on the street.2. Ss learn the new words and expressions by themselves and try to remember them. 3. Work on 1a:Ask them to match the right places with the words. Then check the answers.Step .The target languages1. Study sentence patterns.-There is/are .-Is there . near here?- Yes, there is./ No, there isnt. (Show some pictures of the locations of buildings) 2. Ask students to practice the target languages.Step . 1b Listening1. Ask students to listen to the recording and circle the place they hear in 1a.Then check the answers.2. Listen again: finish the following dialoguesConversation 1: A: Is there a restaurant _ on Bridge Street? B: Yes, _ _.Conversation 2: A: _ there a post office _ here?
