人教新课标必修四第四单元阅读课教案教学课题:Unit 4 Body Language阅读课一、教学背景本人所执教的是高中一年级的一个美术班,男女学生比例均衡。经过高中阶段一个多学期的学习,他们目前的英语水平基本处在英语课程标准规定的六级水平,个别学生达到七级。这个班的学生大部分学习目的明确、精力旺盛、想像丰富、思路开阔、主动思考,有求异创新的精神,对英语学习兴趣浓厚,乐于接受新鲜事物,已经初步培养并形成了自主学习结合小组内合作探究学习的习惯和能力。在阅读习惯上,他们喜欢生动活泼、趣味性强的阅读材料而对科普类读物缺乏兴趣;在阅读技巧和能力上,已经基本掌握了根据语境和构词法等来猜测词义的方法,但还有待巩固和提高;可以独立完成相关细节的查找、甄别和判断,但是对段落大意和文章主要内容的归纳和提炼,对文章体裁和特点的鉴别以及运用细节进行推理的能力仍然比较薄弱。二、教材分析本节课是这个单元的第二课时,为精读课,主要内容包括教材中的Pre-reading ,Reading及Comprehending三个部分。由于第一课时是口语课(Warming Up ,Using Language中的Reading and Talking ,Workbook中的Talking ,Speaking Task以及Using Words and Expressions),学生基本上已经了解了有声语言和身体语言的对应关系,对语言的目的、不同身势语的表达、作用和功能等都已经做了初步的思考和学习,并对身体语言产生了浓厚的兴趣,所以在本节课的Pre-reading部分主要是引导学生在上一节课的基础之上进行总结,并强化学生对身势语在跨文化交流中的作用的认识和思考,从而为阅读的开展做好铺垫。Reading部分是一篇颇有特色的说明文,它以一个生动有趣的场景形象地说明了身势语与文化背景的密切关系以及身势语在人们日常生活中的重要作用。文章运用第二人称使学生很容易进入角色,仿佛自己亲身去经历、去倾听、去见证了那一连串令人捧腹却又真实可信的小误会,从而加深了他们对文章主题的认识和了解。三、教学目标本节课主要是运用有的放矢的教学策略,以生动有趣的方式,张弛有度的节奏,在动静结合的氛围中使学生在巩固、强化和提高各项阅读微技能的同时,了解身势语不同的文化内涵和在跨文化交际中的重要作用。1、语言知识目标通过对课文的阅读,能够准确猜测下列单词或短语在文章中的含义并利用它们完成各项阅读任务:major , local, represent, curious , introduce, approach , touch , cheek , learned , stranger , spoken / unspoken , express , action , posture , be likely to , nod , general , avoid , misunderstand 。2、语言技能目标通过设计不同层次的阅读任务,帮助学生巩固、强化和提高略读、细读、理解大意、理解重点细节和猜测词义等阅读微技能。3、情感态度目标通过对短片剪辑、图片等直观而又生动的形象的欣赏和观察,对课文的改编与场景表演,以及小组之间进行的竞赛活动等,促进学生对身体语言的感性和理性认识,使他们认识到身体语言在跨文化交际中的重要性。此外,在鼓励学生大胆进行自我表达、发扬创新精神的同时也加深了学生学习英语的兴趣。4、学习策略目标通过个人的阅读活动、小组内的讨论、小组间的表演、辩论等形式,学会并加强对不同信息的获取、分析和处理能力,加强自主学习与合作探究学习相结合的学习策略和能力。5、文化意识目标通过对课文的理解,加深对身体语言在跨文化交际中重要作用的认识,初步学会部分国家见面时的礼节与问候方式。四、教学策略1、教学手段多媒体平台,适量的印刷材料。2、教学方法任务型教学方法与交际教学法相结合。学生被分成8人一个比赛组别,阅读讨论时可在组内细分为4人或2人小组。3、课前准备的材料小组号码卡,小组表演道具以及小组活动评价表。五、教学过程Step 1.Pre-reading(5 mins)1、Review the words and expressions of body language by playing a game . The 8 members of each group are divided into 4-membered groups , with one group facing the screen , while the other not . The group facing the screen has to act according to the requirements and the others try to“interpret” the performance in English .
