Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? (Section B 2a-2e) 教学设计思礼镇初级中学 陈彦瑞一 教学内容分析 本单元的核心话题是“讨论娱乐活动(Talk about Entertainment)”。Section A的话题主要围绕电视节目(TV shows)展开,引入了各种不同的节目类型;Section B在此基础上拓展了电影(movie)这个话题,2a-2e作为一个完整的阅读板块围绕卡通片(cartoons)这一电影类型展开,主要讨论一个为学生熟知的美国卡通形象米老鼠(Mickey Mouse),让学生通过阅读了解卡通片在美国文化中的地位,特别是米老鼠的诞生和成名过程、以及人们喜欢它的原因。二 教学设计理念本部分阅读教学仍然采用读前(Pre-reading)、读中(While-reading)、读后(Post-reading)的设计思路,通过饶有趣味的话题导入激发学生的阅读热情,通过层层递进的阅读任务逐步加深学生对语篇内容的把握,通过自主发现的诱导式探究促进学生对重要语言知识的掌握,最后通过开展与话题密切联系的“信息沟(Information Gap)”游戏让学生在轻松愉快的环境中实现话题延伸,并在该游戏成果的基础上及时进行写作技能强化。本部分教学活动始终遵循任务型教学的教学理念,以学生为学习的主体,以任务为中心,贯穿听、说、读、写四项基本技能的培养。同时提倡学生参与、体验、独立思考、合作探究,教会学生在做中学、在学中用。三 教学目标设计1. 知识与技能(1) Master the key words and expressions:culture, famous, appear, become, rich, successful, might, main, reason, common, film, unlucky, lose, girlfriend, character, think of, come out, one of the main reasons, such as, be ready to, try his best. (2) Improve students comprehensive skill.2. 过程与方法(1) Learn the use of infinitives as objects through a reading material.(2) Do some writing practice to consolidate the target language.3. 情感态度与价值观Cultivate students interest in shows and movies.四 教学重难点Key points:(1)Master the key words and expressions.(2) Improve students comprehensive skill.Difficult Points:(1)Improve students comprehensive skill.(2)Use the target language to talk about preferences.五 教学过程Step Warm-up & Lead-in.T: Good afternoon, boys and girls!Ss: Good afternoon, Ms Chen!T: Lets begin todays class with a short video! Watch it carefully.Ss: OK.T: OK, guys, what is it?Ss: Cartoon.T: What do you think of the cartoon?S1: Interesting!S2: Funny!T: Yeah, wonderful! And do you know the names of these lovely characters?Ss: 米老鼠和唐老鸭.T: Clever! Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck! Today well learn more about this lovely mouse. Where does he come from? When did he come out? Now scan the passage to find out the answer!Step PresentationT: Finish?Ss: Yes.T: Where does Mickey Mouse come from?S1: America.T: Fabulous! When did he come out?S2: On November 18, 1928.T: Well done! Now another three minutes for you to read the passage quickly and finish the following time line. Clear? Lets begin.Check the answer together.T: Now several minutes for you to read the passage carefully and try to fill in the facts about Mickey.Check the answer together.T: Just now we have learned some facts about lovely Mickey Mouse, yeah? Then, lets listen to the recording and underline important & difficult words and phrases in the passage. Do you know “underline”? It means “划出”. Ready? Go!T plays the recording for the first time. Ss find out language points by themselves.T: Finish? OK, now look at the screen. I also find some important words and phrases. Are they the same with yours? Ok, lets learn it one by one. Read and explain the meaning of the words and phrases.Have Ss read them twice together.T: Did you find any words and phrases that are not here?
