Ability Objectives:(1) Students should be able to know how to order food correctly.(2) Through listening activities, students can get the main idea and some useful information of the simple material and their listening and speaking abilities can be improved. 3. Moral Objectives:(1) Let students experience the pleasure of learning English by creating real scenes.(2) Students should learn how to order food politely in the restaurants and respect others.II. Teaching Key Points:1. Learn the names of the foods in our daily life.2. Learn to distinguish the usages of the countable nouns and the uncountable nouns. 3. Master the special question with would like and its answers.III. Teaching Difficulty: The special question with would like and its answers.IV. Teaching Methods:Task-based Language Teaching MethodSituational Teaching MethodV. Teaching Procedures:Step I. Lead-in1. Let students watch a video about food.2. Show some pictures about food.3. Talk about the video and the food. Then start the new lesson.Step II. New words1. Teach the new words by showing the pictures which are related to the new words.2. Ask students to read the new again and again until they can read them correctly and fluently.Step III. Presentation1. Say, “My sister Tina owns a Chinese restaurant. There are many different kinds of noodles in her restaurant. Do you want to go and have a look with me?”2. Show some pictures of different kinds of noodles. Ask, “What can you see in these bowls of noodles?” Analyze the bowls of noodles one by one.3. Guide students to pay attention to the three specials. Let them match the words on the left with the foods in the picture.4. Check the answers.5. Go through the conversation in the picture. Pay attention to be sure and yet. 6. Practice the target language: -What would you/ he/ she/ they like? -I/ He/ She/ They would like.Step IV. Listening1. Review the three specials. Answer the question: “ What are in Special 1, 2 and 3?”2. Say, “ My friend Jim is very hungry, and he likes noodles very much. So he goes to my sisters restaurant. Do you want to know what kind of noodles he like? Lets listen to the recording.3. Play the recording twice. For the first time, let students listen and check the noodles that the person orders. For the second time, let them check whether their answer is right.4. Check the answer.Step V. Practice1. Have two students read the conversation in 1a.2. Say, “ We can use anther sentence structure to order noodles. That is-What kind of noodles would you like? And we still use Id like.to answer it.”3. Practice this sentence structure by using different subjectives.4. Ask students to work in pairs and make their own conversations.5. Have several pairs of students present their conversations to the class.Step VI. Assignment Ask them to interview their friends. Ask: What kind of
