Warming up T: Before the class, watch a video. Then answer my questions: 1) Whos he? 2) Whats he doing?(teach “chores”) Step 3. Leading in T: Please tell me, do you do chores at home?Ss: Yes. (Maybe not) T: Today we are going to learn something about chores. Unit 3 Could you please clean your room? Step 3. PresentationActivity 1: Teach the new phraseShow a picture and ask:T: What is he doing?Ss: He is doing the dishes.Here teach the new phrase do the dishes.Use pictures to teach the following phrases such as sweep the floor, take out the rubbish, make the bed, fold your clothes and clean the living room.Show students the picture, they read out the phrase.Reading the phrases with kinds of ways. Task 1: Play a game: Ss try to remember the pictures in order, then speak it out. (group work) Task 2: Competition:One student stands in the front of the classroom, then his group guess what phrase it is. (group work)Activity 2: Teach the new sentences T: Now I want that book, I say “Hey, give me that book!” Am I polite? What should I say? Ss: Could you please give that book? Then the teacher use the sentence the students just said, set an example of making a polite request. Practice the sentence structures with the phrases. Then look at 1a. Let Ss pay attention to the picture about Peter and his mother. Teach Ss how to answer this kind of question. Show pictures, teacher set an example of making a dialogue. Then, lead Ss speak out the questions and two kinds of answers. Task 3: pair work. Two Ss a pair, practice these dialogues for 1 minute. Then teacher invite 3 groups to show for the class. Step 4. Practice Task 4: Listening Students listen and check Peters mother or Peter. Ask question as following, and check out the answers: 1) Will Peters mother do the dishes? 2) Will Peters mother sweep the floor? . Task 5: Role play Go through 1c. Ss role play and make a conversation. (Pair work)VII. Homework1. Remember the new words and phrases in this period.2. Make a new conversation with partners.VIII.
