Sing a song “ The twelve months” 2. Greetings 3. Brain storm (1) Look and say out the festivals quickly. (2) Watch and say out the festivals quickly. 4. Strongest brain Listen and judge “Yes” or “No”. If you say “Yes”, please stand up. If you say “No”, please sit down. For example: 1. Tree Planting Day is in March. 2. Chinas National Day is in October. 3. Christmas is in November. 6. Easter is in April. Step 2 Presentation 1. Say and chant (1) Ask and answer . How many months are there in a year? Ss: . Whats your favourite month? Ss: . Whats my favourite month? Ss: T: Yes, I like May best because there are some special days in May. (2). Show and say T: There are some special days in May. Whats the first special day? Ss: The first special day is May Day. Its on May 1st. (Help the students if necessary) (3). Lets chant When is May Day? When is May Day? On May 1st. On May 1st. 2. Make a new chant 3. Lets try (1) T: Who are they? Ss: Whats Zhang Peng doing? Ss: Why is he running? Ss: When is the sports meet? Ss: (2) Listen and tick. (3) Listen again and check the answer. 4.
