When rainwater washes over the litter, it becomes polluted. This polluted water flows into rivers and the sea.Do not throw paint, oil or litter down your sink or toilet.Pick up your dogs waste. When they are washed into water in rivers or the sea, they increase bacteria levels.Take household chemicals, waste oil and batteries to the specific places at official landfill sites.Do not throw litter on nearby beaches. We can organize a project with our school or join a group to help clean the beaches instead.3. 环境保护：八下U7 Environment Without it, Earth would be as cold and lifeless as the surface of the moon. The trouble is that our atmosphere is changing because we are polluting it chemicals in the form of gases and it is keeping in too much heat. This will cause the sea level to rise and drown cities and even whole countries. The burning and cutting down of trees is making the greenhouse effect worse because trees take in harmful gases. It will also cause floods because trees can help hold soil together, and soil absorbs water when it rains. Many of our habits causes pollution, especially our habit of using things once and then throwing them away. This creates mountains of rubbish and it pollutes our land and seas. For example, people throw away as many as sev
